    Evening moneysavers. Only a 2 day week for me, tomorrow and Tuesday, then I'm off until the following Wednesday :T The usual Sunday night doom feelings aren't quite as bad tonight! Funny that :D

    Friday 20th May
    * £15 on fuel
    * £4.75 on lunch and snacks for work next week
    * £13.70 on some milk for me and some nibbles and drinks to take to my friends house

    Saturday
    * NSD
    * Day of crafting at my friends house, so lots of laughs and creativity. Blimmin loved it :j
    * 90SB earned

    Today
    * NSD
    * Found £4.30 in a little tin so I've transferred that to the tin with the secret lid :rotfl:
    * PA survey
    * One item listed on eb@y and a bid was made 15 minutes later :T:T
    * 15SB earned

    Payday is on Thursday and it really can't come quick enough. I'll be down to one CC and CC debt will be sub 3k. Yahoooooo! :D

    Have a good week y'all :)

    I transfer all the odd pennies, or £1.xx if i'm feeling flush, into a separate account which I've named my overpayments account. I then transfer a chunk to my CC but this month I've hung on to it as I've been a little spendy and don't want to leave myself short. When I had a balance on my Nati0nwide CC, I would transfer the sweeps directly from my current account. The statements that came through were a couple of pages long :rotfl: So I don't think it matters that there's little amounts. :)

    Thanks, that's really helpful. I'm thinking of using it as a way to save. I can transfer odds and ends into my savings account. It's worth a try :)

    Definitely give it a go, it really does add up but you don't really notice the odd few pence missing :)

    Monday 23rd May
    * £11.75 on some skincare products. It should have £22 but one item went through wrong, or maybe there was an offer!!! Naughty me :rotfl:
    * £10 on fuel
    * £22.05 in M0rrisons although I picked up 2 of the wrong item as I thought it was on offer, but I got the wrong pack size so will get a refund
    * P0pulusLive survey
    * i-S@y survey
    * 127SB earned

    Tuesday
    * NSD
    * Youg0v prize draw survey
    * 158SB earned

    Wednesday 25th May
    * £9.68 refund in M0rrisons
    * £20.37 on some groceries and cleaning products
    * Discovered I'd got £29 of clubcard vouchers so thought I might as well spend them seeing as it's the last boost. I did really want a printer but that's not in the boost so I thought I'd buy something for me as a treat :) I got a bottle of Clin1que H@ppy EDT and 3 cushions (on 3 for 2) and it only cost £5.20 but if I'd paid full price it would have been £71 ;) I am feeling a tad guilty as I could have bought a couple of Christmas or birthday presents but I do love this perfume and I normally buy it when I'm on holidays and seeing as they are embargoed, it's a nice treat to go someway to make up for the lack of holiday this year and for the never ending surveys. And I did it through TCB which has tracked for 99p. Have I justified it yet? :rotfl::D
    * i-S@y survey and a £10 Am@zon voucher redeemed
    * Youg0v survey
    * PA survey
    * 200SB earned

    Today
    * £45.07 in T3sco on groceries, stocking up on offers, cat food pouches, drinks and food to take to my brothers for the weekend
    * £35 on fuel
    * i-S@y survey
    * 2 PA surveys
    * 2 VO surveys
    * 70SB earned and a £5 Am@zon voucher redeemed
    * £1.74 sweep into my FD savings account
    * £4.37 sweep into my overpayments account

    I've had a couple of days off now and I've already forgotten what day it is. I was watching BGT earlier and when it had finished I thought oh no, I've missed gogglebox. Then I realised it was only Thursday :o:D I do feel so much better for not being at work :p

    I'm up to date with YNAB after not updating it for a week. It all seems to match up amazingly :T

    I've realised that I spend an awful lot on my grocery and household category. But it's not all food. Pretty much anything I buy in a supermarket gets lumped in with it, whether it's a book or make up, cleaning stuff or something for the house. I'm going to try to keep better track and categorise it better. But first I'm going to withdraw cash for just food for the month. I'm away this weekend so when I get back on Sunday, I'll start then. Although I've got loads of food to eat up so I'm going to try and run that down first, but just buy the fresh bits I'll need. I'm going to start with £45 per week which is a bit of a guess. Anything left over at the end will go in the tin. I'll separate the food in my trolley and pay cash then any other non-food supermarket purchases will go on the card. I don't really use loads of cash but maybe for this, it'll work and help me stick to some sort of budget. Worth a try anyway :)

    And finally.......

    It was payday today thank goodness. I've paid the final £200 off my H@lifax CC so I'll ring up next week to close it. So that means........drum roll please..........I've only got one CC left to pay :T:j

    Catch you soon :)

    Whoop whoop another debt bites the dust!:T:T:T:T:T

    And I think you deserve the perfume after all your hard graft with the surveys :A

    I had a similar review of my supermarket shopping a few years back, what I did (and I'm happy to say it was a bit bonkers) was keep all receipts for a month, then tallied up exactly what I bought on a spreadsheet. It was interesting to know roughly how much per month I spend on bread! Seriously though I think I then made an effort to buy cleaning products in the pound shop.

    Have a fab weekend away :beer:

    Hi Ena,

    I used to withdraw cash for shopping and then pay separately for anything non-food related in the supermarket. For me personally, it didn't work as I used to get soooooo confused!! Now I just pay for it all on my debit card, and anything non-food related would come out of my own personal budget instead, it seems to work for me.

    Congrats on clearing another debt!! That total is looking good!

    Thanks lcc. I think I'm going to have to try separating it, or just making a conscious effort to track it. I've been shopping today but already messed my plan up! Must try harder :D

    Evening! I hope everyone had a lovely relaxing bank holiday weekend :) I'm back from my brothers and I have the worst pain in my shoulder and neck after 2 nights on a camp bed! Oh well, still better than last time when I returned from his with D+V :rotfl::rotfl::D

    I've had a really lovely weekend spending time with a couple of old friends, seeing my brother and SIL and relaxing in the park with their friends and kids and then a trip to a food festival.
