    It's my birthday on Friday and me and 2 fellow birthday girls are off out for drinks with a few others. I know quite a few of the people going but I don't want to go :eek: I'm not very sociable, I don't drink and I'd rather be at home with my cat. I know I must sound like a misery and I feel like I should go out to celebrate, you know, cause it's my birthday. I've been having counselling at work and she picked up on me saying that I "should" do this or "should" do that. It's ridiculous me saying I should go when actually I don't want to do those things but due to not having the guts to say no or feeling obligated to do things that I go when I don't want to and because I know I don't want to be a total hermit. So then I think I haven't been out with these friends since January so I should go really. And I did have a good time when I went out then. Aarrrgghhhhh.

    I don't mean to sound pathetic, but no one is coming out just for me and it makes no odds if i'm there or not. It will still go ahead regardless. Yes a few people might like to see me and I'd like to see some of them but if it was my birthday (and no one elses) I'd have preferred to go out for a meal. I hope I'm not coming across as a diva not wanting to share my birthday cause I'm not bothered about that, I think I'm just socially phobic or something. When I used to go out more years ago I'd sometimes think it was going to be the best night ever and it was always a bit crap. I know that's my fault for expecting too much. And another thing, I can't stand being home all day and then having to go out at night. I feel like I can't get on with anything cause I'm just waiting to go out so I can then come home. Haha I'm a reet misery guts :rotfl::rotfl:

    I know that come Friday, I'll probably end up going, having a great time, roll in a 5am then have delete this post :rotfl::o

    Next year is my 40th and I can't go through this torture of not wanting to socialise but feeling like I "should" so I'm definitely going to go away on holiday :rotfl: New YNAB category.......Desperately Saving Sanity / 40th Escape Fund :D

    Ah thanks ladies for your birthday wishes :)

    Friday 17th June
    * £6 for a birthday present in N3xt
    * £14 Asd@ on clothing
    * £15.68 in Asd@ on beers for Father's day, a lip gloss, magazine for free eyeliners and a gift bag
    * £9.95 cash on a pub lunch
    * Nil spends on birthday night out ;)

    Saturday
    *!£17.23 in T3sco on 2 more magazines for the free eyeliners and a few groceries. The magazine was £4.20 and the eyeliners are worth £34. It seems like a really nice eyeliner and the smashbox one I normally buy is £16 I think so it's a massive saving. Should be ok for eyeliner for a couple of years :rotfl:
    * £4.73 on a few bits in Ald1
    * 2 VO surveys
    * 2 i-S@y surveys
    * Youg0v survey

    * £11.52 in M0rrisons on groceries, mainly fruit juices. Got a printed voucher for a £2 bouquet of flowers as it was my birthday. I'm loving M0rrisons lately, they seem to be quite generous with those printed vouchers :T
    * P0pulusLive survey
    * 5SB earned. Poor show today sw@gbucks, poor show :p

    Monday
    * £6.74 in H0me Barg@ins for a few cat things and some biccies for me
    * £15.77 in P3ts at H0me on some new things for the kitten. I just need a bed, a scratch post and a cat carrier now which I'll order from Am@zon
    * VO survey!
    * P0pulusLive survey
    * PA survey
    * Youg0v survey.....only 125pts from £50 cash out. I started on the 2nd Aug so it's a slow burner ;)

    Today
    * £2.85 to send a parcel
    * £8.34 in M0rrisons and got my free bouquet of freesias
    * 1p roadkill found :D
    * Returned some items to JDWilliams so my bill will be going from £183 to £61. I kept 1 top and 2 bras and crikey what a difference. So much more comfortable and ahem, uplifted :eek::rotfl:
    * VO survey
    * PA survey
    * P0pulusLive survey
    * i-S@y survey

    Everything is still ticking along, still doing surveys and looking for roadkill :rotfl: My washing machine failed me again today and thankfully it was just the filter. Everytime I sort it out myself and just think, "there's £60 saved" ;)

    Bad things: feel like I've been quite spendy this month and my house stuff is getting on top of me again. I'm having the skirting boards done tomorrow in my bedroom so I've moved everything into the spare room but even though I've decluttered and decluttered, there still seems so much. I bought the Marie Kondo book a while ago but haven't read it so I need to do that asap and do an absolute final declutter. I will, I will, I will ;)

    I feel miles away from getting a lodger too but I just need to get my room straight and sort the clutter out. I really thought I'd have one by now but things take longer when you keep changing your plans for house improvements :(

    I've only got one more day off before I return to work with no proper time off until the end of August. Feels like a long stretch :eek:

    It's new kitten day on Saturday and I'm ridiculously giddy. I just hope my cat doesn't want to run away in terror as it's just been me and him for 2 years so a little ball of inquisitive fur might just not go down too well. If it goes well though, I'll be getting more cats eventually :rotfl::D

    Hi Ena
    I have not read the Kondo book but I am obsessed with the idea! You need to start with your knicker drawer. That's the gateway drug! If you get into it, you will spend all of your time sorting things out and moving things around. It can be a bit emotional and time consuming, but it is so worth it!
    You seem to have survived the birthday night out without spending, hope it was ok in the end x
