There's also the Amex Basic Charge Card which is fee-free and works with 4SQ offers.0

Yes that still exists.0 -
Anyone has the AMEX platinum cashback?
That has £25 fee but 5% cashback in first three months and then 1.25% after.
On my cals that would work out the best for me (even though it has a charge).
Just worried I will get that one and they will change that or something...0 -
I spent £3,500 on my Amex Nectar card last year. I only use it at Nectar retailers so receive 2 points per £1 currently.
I calculate that I therefore received 7,000 points last year, worth £35.
Going forwards I'll receive 4 points per £1 which is 14,000 points worth £70, less the £25 fee means I'm still £10 better off under the new pricing structure than the old.
The £5,000 annual spend referred to above only works for spend at non-Nectar partners.0 -

You will not get 4 points per pound on Nectar partners just the same 2 as before. So the £5000 spend is the same wherever you shop.0 -

Check the FAQs, 'Why don't I get a better earn rate at Nectar partners anymore?'

i recently got a new nectar amex card, purely for foursquare offers.
yet to receive the letter but am i right in understanding that if you dont want to pay the fee you opt out but it still remains an AMEX card>? i.e. i can still get foursquare offers on it!
i was just about to apply for a new one for OH for more foursquare offers, so need to be careful to select fee free card.0 -

Good point. I'd missed that. Thanks.0 -
I have just applied to transfer to the fee free card and wondered if they transfer your second user from your old card or will I have to wait till my new card appears and add the second user myself.0
