The silver cross linear chassis fits in the boot of my fiat seiscento when I remove the parcel shelf. I then use this with the silver cross car seat which will last your baby up to 9 months/13kg.
  • I believe our Kia Picanto has a smaller boot than a Ford Ka but I may be wrong. We had a Jane Carrera Pro with Matrix Pro car seat & this fitted perfectly in our boot (though took up the entire space).

The Matrix car seat lays flat in the back of the car from 0-9kg or can changed into a sat up position like a normal car seat for 0-11kg. By using the Matrix in the flat position it means you don't have to worry about your childs spine & internal organs. The Matrix then clips directly on to the Carrera chasis (without the pushchair material being attached) to make a lovely pram. The Carrera pushchair can be used from once the child is able to sit unaided, it is forward facing only & I have to say this is my only niggle with the Jane.

There are so many other really good points about the Jane Carrera & Matrix Pro that I'd normally ramble on about but I'm really tired & can't think straight. If you look up the professional & customer reviews on the Jane range though you will find they are excellent.

anyone have one or have had one? was really looking forward to buying one this week for my baby due in march but have read up on them and they dont have great things said about them,

now thinking about the mamas and papas pilko, all this pram buying is confusing lol
  • We have got one and love it, it is a little heavier than the pilko, and not that small when its folded, but does have everything included you will need (as appose to many others which you have to buy the carrycot bit seperate).

I love it, its sturdy easy to push and durable, i looked at the bugaboo and quinny, both were much dearer and you have to buy the infant bit as i said, which for the quiney is over £100, and to be honest you dont use that much anyway, you tend to use the car seat bit for a long time as its easier !

Hope thats been some help to you

I've got the silver cross classic system - pretty much the same as the 3d, but bigger wheels and a slightly bigger seat part which looks more comfy for baby.

I looked at the 3d in Mothercare - I thought it was lovely, but i wanted the bigger wheels!!

The car seat that fits both is lovely - looks really snug. Can't wait for baby to be here to get in it!

Also, try them out in the shops, but check kiddicare.co.uk before you buy as they have some good deals.

My daughter is approaching 7 months old and has almost outgrown the Maxi Cosi car seat that came with the Quinny Buzz travel system.

Are any "toddler" car seats compatible with the pram part of the Quinny system or am I forced to buy a new car seat and pram if I want to use both simultaneously? Money is tight at the moment and I'm not sure if I can shell out more cash on an upgrade

    Thanks in advance,
    Bernie

Your daughter will now be old enough to go into the quinny buzz seat. Ive never seen any car seats for 9 months plus that fit onto a pram.
  • I would take it into Mothercare (or wherever) with the seat on and ask if they think she has outgrown it or not...it seems awfully early to be growing out of the maxicosi???

Have you taken the inserts out?

They are not oficially 'grown out' of the car seat until their head is higher than the back of the seat.

Edit - sorry if I am telling you things you already know!
