I have a Babe Confort loola as I had the same problem - they say you should buy your pram system based on how you are going to use it and I knew fitting in my car was a definate must! It's not the best for shopping as the basket is too small to fit much in but it does have a forward or rear facing pushchair which I like alot. Means I get to chat to baby while on the go.

I also considered the quinny buzz but found it quite bulky (it folds flat rather than umberella) however they are none of them very small so you do have to compromise boot space to some extent - I finally decided on loola as I prefered the car seat that went with it but the buzz is very stylish so it was a hard decision to make.

I agree that the best thing is to try them out - even how tall you are might affect which one you would prefer to buy. Babies r us is where we got ours and the sales assistants there are impressive also - how they remember all the little quirks of the systems is beyond me, it took me weeks to remember how to do all the bits of mine ( now a seasoned pro).

I've got a small hatchback and I've gone for a Loola too! It's a lovely pushchair - I just can't wait to use it. :D

that silver cross 3d pram system folds quite small. they have a pram liner, and can also fit the car seat. they umbrella fold so are quite compact
  • I had one of these from mothercare:
    http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B000TGIDD6/sr=1-8/qid=1207217890/ref=sr_1_8/203-6854486-8930311?ie=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44344031&mcb=core
And the pushchair fitted into a 55 reg 5 door corsa as long as you took the parcel shelf out! Mine was returned to mothercare as the wheel buckled and the seat material ripped and Charlie was only 2mths old! The "tyre" on the wheel was a very thin plastic and broke easily.

I've now got one similar to this:
    http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_342+105_10751_-1_14552_54312_10001_14552
and it folds up smaller but it quite long as it umbrella folds but a lot lighter than my mothercare one

    Good luck

I've got a Clio which doesn't have a big boot. This time round I've gone for a Quinny Zapp and maxi cosi seat. I can fit in a week's shopping and the Zapp in the boot without removing the parcel shelf either. Doesn't have a shopping basket though.

I bought mine on ebay 2nd hand and paid about £110 for it all

I went to a small local baby supplies shop and they let me try different ones in the boot of my car. The Britax zeta was the easiest to fit in (Skoda fabia) but I dont' recommend it, though the britax baby seat was excellent.

Are you sure you need a travel system? If you don't have to do much faffing in and out of the car, you might be best getting the best car seat for your car and getting a from birth umbrella fold buggy as they're light and small. A good cosytoes and rain cover if needed will keep a newborn snug.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.
  • Anyone know of a good travel system that will fit in the boot of a Ford KA, not worried about cost etc, just how to allow a pushchair to fit in for a baby 0 - 6 months.

    Thanks

I went to Mothercare and asked the same thing, as thats the car I have too. They recommended quite a few they knew that fitted, and they let you try it out fitting it into your boot aswell. I did this with the Bebe Confort Loola and it fitted fine with the normal pushchair seat on. Or it can be a travel system as well in which case you'd be taking the seat off to put in the car and the frame fits in no trouble at all, even with room to spare. Can't remember what others they said as I'd decided on this one already, but there were a few which I was surprised with as I assumed it would be a problem to find something to fit.

Quinny Buzz fits in an Aygo and that has a smaller boot than a Ford Ka.

This one fits into a KA too. It's currently cheaper at babies r us and kiddicare.
