I had a similar problem with this. DS had outgrown the carseat by 7 months. We put him in the main part of the pram and tightened the harness till it was snug and kept it mother facing and reclined.0

What does she weigh as it goes by weight whether you need the next stage car seat or not.
The maxi cosi seat,. is it a stage 0 or 0+?
If it's a 0, then a stage 0+ will fit onto your chassis, but if you already have the 0+ then there isn't a larger seat which will fit into the chassis.
Infact you won't find any pram which will hold a car seat bigger than a stage 0+!
Is there any reason why you want this?
Why not just buy a bigger car seat if she definitely needs one, leave the seat in the car and push her round in the Quinny seat itself??Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
She should also be able to sit up unaided for 30 mins + as otherwise her head/neck muscles will not be strong enough to support her head in the event of a crash, in a forward facing seat. RoSPA now recommend children stay rearward facing for 12 months at least, which a Group 0+ seat should last for - weight limit 28lb, head level with the top of the back of the seat, as an earlier poster said.
If your local council has a road safety department, they may be able to check the seat for you.:j Almost 2 stones gone! :j

I have a quinny buzz and love it, in fact its about my 4th one, i like to change the colours.
I felt DD grew out of her maxi cosi car seat around 7 - 8 months so we just put her in the next stage car seat and used the buzz seat instead.
When i say i felt, its because she looks squashed and umcomfy by this age, so we took her to mothercrae and got loads of advice about the next stage car seat and found one that would fit in our car correctly.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

As sagaris suggests rearfacing seats are much safer, and research is now finding that babies may be safer to travel rearfacing until 4 years like in the Netherlands.
Have a look at the safety videos of the crash test dummies if you need further convincing. The britax first class allows you to do this, and as it is a very high seat baby can actually see more out the back window than they can if they were forward facing (many people's reason for forward facing is that baby is bored of looking at the seat.)
I know I often mention this but it is something I feel so strongly about. When it comes to car safety I cannot comprehend how people can know something is much, much safer yet ignore this advice? I'm sure people will soon let me know thoughI also think in light of the information available the UK should change it's laws about this as it gives conflicting advice.

Hi All,
we're expecting (although not till next may) we're investigating the best pram/travel system for us both.
My Wife is about 5ft7 and im 6ft4, my mum has offered to buy it but budget is still an issue so quinnys and bugaboo's are out of the question.
Any ideas would be great thanks.0 -
My hubby is 6ft 4, and i'm 5ft 4. so we needed a travel system/ pram with adjustable handle height.
We bought the M&P pliko with the adjustable handles both hubby and i were comfortably able to push it.
Brand new including car seat and car seat base everything. It was just under £500. but you can pick them up on ebay second hand in excellent condition for well under £100.0 -
Hi Tom, I'm 5'6 and my OH is 6'5.
We have the Maxi Cosi mura. For the pushchair, hardbodied carry cot, raincovers, attatchments, cosi toes and changing bag, we paid £299.
The Maxi Cosi cabriolet is the car seat that fits the pushchair and we paid £80 for it (we got some money off for buying the lot in Mothercare).
Have a look on eBay if that is too much brand new.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Hi
The Graco Metrosport TS definately fits in the boot of a Ford Ka (we have this car/pram combo!), and you dont need to take wheels off or dismantle the pushchair to do so, but it is a little easier if you remove the parcel shelf. The car seat and base also fit, but the passenger seat needs to be quite far forward.
Cheers

Thanks for the feedback
we're going to pop into mothercare and have a look at them.
