I have just done L2 Extreme Shred - certainly not getting any easier after all these weeks, anyway it's done for today!

Fabness so far then has been nails tidied up and repainted, hair mask yesterday and pretreatment today - when that 1L size bottle from my total waste of money days on any beauty product. Still a long way to go and I've had it for ages already. Think I will put £10 in my treat pot when that bottle is finally used up as a reward for both using it up and recognising I will never buy it again - no need for it at all.

Planning to start writing some of that literature review today or at least a good robust plan.

 just calling by for catch-up. Good to see newbies, returners and lurkers. The new thread is sounding positive despite many of you struggling with health and family issues.

We haven't any snow here (south of England), it's just cold, grey and miserable.

On subject of shopping and leisure look. I favour jeans, v-necked jumper or a top and little cardi with a scarf. I have some skirts and dresses now too for a more dressy look for meals out etc. I'm still searching for decent jeans. I want dark navy. I tried Wallis (as v pleased with black ones) but current stock isn't special. I may have to try M&S although I've gone off that shop (for all but a few food treats) as there's so much frump in there and the way shops scatter things all around with very few staff makes it hard to find what you want. I may go tomorrow when hopefully it won't be very busy. I want dark navy, long length with a high/normal waist and straight (but not super skinny) legs. Shouldn't be a problem.;)

My goals are to maintain my weight by healthy eating, sort out wardrobe for spring/summer (although the way it's going I'll still be wearing my winter coat!), introduce a bit more walking and try to build up my energy. Plus keep up mental fabbing by doing something more stimulating than slump in front of telly!

Anyone got a view on vitamin supplements? Although I do try to eat healthily I wondered whether with lack of sunlight I ought to try cod liver oil or similar?

    Off to make yummy roast!

Hi all, can I join you please? I thought I posted this a few hours ago but it's disappeared so I'll try again :) x I'm a 31 year old mum of two. My son is 14 months and my daughter is just 3. I'm feeling grumpy and horrible and I really need to make more effort. I find it so hard to find 'me' time.

I've been reading the old thread and feel really inspired. Today I've exfoliated and moisturised, used face cream and put some jewellery on. Ooh I even filed my nails.

I need to lose around 4-5 stone, I've stuck to my cals today and feel good. Anyway, look forward to getting to know people xx

    Welcome thisisme

Well had a pretty grim weekend. Dad on the phone several times - piling on the emotional blackmail. Didn't get to see OH for 3 days because of the snow and he was frantic. Managed to see him today for a while. DS2 had to dig out my car, we had to drive through a snowdrift on one of the country lanes. Nightmare.

Came home and then did we did our best to try and clear the drive, found a bag of salt&grit so we put that all around the cars so hopefully they won't be iced in tomorrow.

Apparently more snow on the way.........

Slept for 1.1/2 hours after that lot - just couldn't stay awake. I just feel so tired and worn out these days.

Maman - I will be joining you on those vitamins. I need something....I think replacing Vit D and keeping the calcium levels up is going to be a must after this long winter. I shall definitely be making the most of the sun when it does finally deign to show it's face.

    I feel like a pale unhealthy slug.:o

    Good morning all

Firstly sorry if my post was a big whingy last night - must admit I felt at rather a low ebb. It's just sometimes I feel that my life is over. Hey ho. I'm back in good (ish) spirits today - must have been the tiredness speaking.

The good news is - no more snow. So today I will get out and about.

I have a second viewing of a house that DS2 and I saw on Friday. I think we might go for it.

It's just a little terraced house but in a good area of the city so will be a perfect little starter home for him. Will keep you posted on that one.

Ok - goals for the next three months.

    1. Lose one stone.
    2. Up the fabbing - I'm doing the basics, just need to "glam up"
    3. Get fit - or at least fitter:o
    4. Get myself a life

This last one sounds a bit odd, but what with mum & dad and my darling OH - I just feel that I have precious little time and energy left for me. I sometimes feel that life is passing my by and I need to start living and stop just existing.

Well I'm just bliddy well going to have to find time. As for energy perhaps ifI lost weight and got a bit fitter then the energy levels would improve too.

Maman - my casual wardrobe is very similar to yours. Jeans or trousers with a v-necked jumper, or a top with a "boyfriend" cardi or one of those waterfall ones. I can then throw a good wool coat over the top to brave the elements.

It's a look that does suit me, which slims me down a bit and which is more "relaxed" than a trouser suit.

As you know I do love good tailoring, so when the weather is warmer I pair up my jeans or trousers with a fine gauge sweater or t-shirt and then a jacket.

Again for me it's a good look. Very simple and quite chic - (well that's what I like to think:rotfl::rotfl:).

It's a very simple pared down sort of look, but frills and flounces aren't for me.

I have a few scarves, belts, a couple of good leather bags (need a new black one) and a range of leather gloves in a rainbow of colours....A bit of jewellery. I have quite a lot but only wear a couple of pieces at a time.

Anyway off to start the day - need to do some shopping before the next lot of snow.

    Love the doggie pics.

    Have a good day.

LL - Nice to read that you are sounding brighter today and I understand how hard your like appears right now.

My fabness today on my week off has been dog walk wrapped up against that bitter wind, L1 6 week 6 pack for a change for today's exercise, walk up to Mr S for some milk, a hair mask. Just having a coffee then an hour on uni work before making some soup for lunch.

    hi,

Hewie she's gorgeous! What is she? Labrador? She's got the white flash like my doggy. :)

oh LL life is so hard at times isn't it? 'I get knocked down but I get up again' springs to mind. :) I always think of this when something knocks me down - don't always feel like getting back up again but at least we do. Your goals are great. I'm sure we'd all feel better if the weather would perk up too. Look after yourself LL - don't forget to be kind to yourself.:)

Very icy here this morning - not good when you have 2 dogs on the end of your arm :rotfl: but the wind is the worst, was only out for half an hour and felt dizzy when I got back. Think it may be the wind in my ears so must get my hat out for later.

DD1 thought she'd found work but unfortunately it's dropped through so back to jobhunting again. Her flatmate is also moving out so that's an added worry as she can't afford the flat alone even with a job.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a week free from worry about one thing or another.

    My goals are:

1: Like you LL need to glam up a bit - the basics are there but not much else.

2: Have started to use flylady's 15 min timer theory for the house fabbing I want to build on this.

    3: Get the business going.

That's enough for now will tackle the healthy eating when the weather picks up for now will just carry on with 5:2 as i am doing atm.

    Keep warm. x
