Thanks ww - didn't go too well really. Emailed me back to say that he's going to discuss with the other manager but he doesn't think part time seems very feasible :( May be stuck job hunting after all.

...LL - if you get the nice weather can you send it a bit further north - poor forecast here :(...

Come to that soon-to-be-sunny famous Lancashire coastal resort - we're allegedly going to get 15 degrees C at the weekend - better crack open the suncream!! :rotfl:

Ooh, floss you must be just along the Motorway from me then, I live in Lancashire. It might be predicted to be 15C this weekend but they're threatening rain - I hate going out when it's raining!

Pod - there's still a chance you'll get the outcome that suits you, fingers crossed xxx
  • Hello, not been too fabby here sadly, but I have squidged a bit if perfume everyday - I have Aqua di Palma Iris at the moment. I think I'll want something lighter for summer so I'll look out for the DKNY one. I've started back on Slimming world to drop a bit of weight as I just hit the same weight as just after my daughter was born - aargh.

Tomorrow is DHs birthday so I'm planning a special meal for him and will try and lok a bit fab!

  • Evening All,

Feeling fed up today, weepy and sorry for myself all because of hormones :( I know i will feel better in a day or so and must remember this.

Going to have a nice shower, moisturise and pj's and a quiet hour relaxing before bed.

Hope everyone is well. Eh xx

My mum gave up on metal coat hangers after we kept raiding her wardrobe in school holidays to make mobiles :rotfl:

    :D

Would these be the "Advent Crowns" courtesy of Blue Peter. Two metal coat-hangers and a bunch of tinsel. :D

Then of course there was "Tracey Island" made of cereal packets.

What you cannot make with two washing up bottles and some sticky back plastic.........................

Build your own nuclear reactor anyone :rotfl::rotfl:

Interesting tip about the static on clothing though, might try that one. I'm the sort of person who gets electric shocks from synthetic fabrics.

Well - there was a first for me today. I went to a property auction. I was very good - I sat on my hands........It was fun.

The weather has been dire - back to the big top coats, scarves, gloves - when will it end.

    Don't forget Fab Friday tomorrow:rotfl:

    G'night all X
  • Ooo fab friday thanks for the reminder LL will make sure I'm looking fabulous or give it a good try :). Eh xx

    Good morning everyone.

Just a quickie. Got a busy day planned today - helped the boys do all the form filling last night for solicitors, so today it is letters and phone calls to surveyors, solicitors, agents etc. Then visit OH.

Thanks to one of our kind lurkers I now have a good contact address for a supplier of cast iron baths........I'm getting excited!!!!! DS2 is beside himself and keeps pacing up and down. I have to keep gently reminding him this is just the start, that it will take at least a couple of months before we get keys.

Luckily there is no chain as such, it all hinges on the survey now. Given the age and overall neglect the house has suffered there is bound to be something.

It is so dark this morning - it looks like Domesday out there. I've a nasty feeling we're in for something - probably a deluge.

Pod - Just wanted to say - sorry your boss wasn't very forthcoming with the part time working. Back to the drawing board I guess. Just keep building up those secondary businesses and sidelines. Do you still do matched betting. I keep threatening to have a go.

I am aiming to start the markets and car boots soon - not yet though - it's far too cold.

Oh-oh I think the deluge is upon us - great big fat rain drops :(
    Enough already.

I want the summer and I want it now.........
