Last night I fabbed my nails up and repainted them and tidied them up, treated my feet to moisturiser and defuzzed.
Cold a little better today but still there.
Today I'll find a nice outfit to wear and have a walk up to town and back to meet my friend. This afternoon finish some more cleaning and take the dog on a nice long walk after making a nice stew and some soupfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Hi ladies
I've been reading this thread the last few days, after ww mentioning it on her diary. I'm so glad I popped in, what a lush idea, frump to fab! I'd love to join please, and feel like posting my aims on here will help me focus. I'm generally a girly girl, always wear make up and perfume and try to keep my hair nice etc, but I really need to get a grip on fabbing my house and making it a nice forever home for me and ds (4yo). We've just recently moved in after buying a house that needed a shed load of work. It's mostly done now, just a few cosmetic bits left to do and to finish unpacking. The other thing I'd like to ficus on is my health and weight. I need to start running again, as I have signed up for a half marathon in the summer. In addition, when I run I feel so much better about life in general, happy chemicals definitely get released when I exercise! I'd love to tone up and to lose a stone in weight, I'd fit into all my nice clothes then and would be much happier and more confident in myself and maybe even be ready for a relationship. I became suddenly and unexpectedly single almost 2 years ago, and have come a long way since then. I'd like to keep the changes going.
So, fabbing aims for this weekend are:
1-finish touching up all white emulsion jobs in house
2-paint front hallway walls
3-run once, exercise DVD once
4-paint nails, defuzz, fake tan
Feel like publicly posting my aims will help me achieve them! Will swing by later to update, have a fab day all!

Perfume? I have not worn for ten or more years. I used to have quite collection years ago but have none now. I used to like softer fragrances, Chanel No 5, Miss Dior and Dioressence but think I got put off by some bad choices of more cloying and heavy stuff that I simply stopped bothering.
Can anyone recommend something really light and fresh I could try - I like citrussy fragrance. It would be a total shock to my system I think, so it would need to be really light and soft to start with.
I use CK1 (Calvin Klein) as my day perfume - nice light zesty smell and not too floral or "old lady" smelling.
Also Cool Water by Davidoff is a nice light clean smelling one.
I think I have finally spring cleaned myself to death :rotfl: Its been much harder work than I thought it would be - easier to go to work! I clean every week, dusting, hoovering, tidy round everyday and thought my house was relatively clean - when you look really closely though you can find things that make you go !!!! But the good news is that its all done now apart from the inside of the conservatory roof which is today's task.
The furniture man eventually turned up and gave me £50 to take it all away - considering I was going to freecycle it I suppose its a bonus (but I know its worth more), but the main thing is he will get it downstairs and out of the house. No excuse to not do the painting then.:o
Going to take it a bit easier today as I'm quite tired and all cleaned out, a nice walk with the dog and a bit of self fabbing - my nails have paid the price for constantly being in bleach and I found a few bits that could do with using up when tidying out the bathroom cabinet yesterday.
Right I'm going to get out to the park with the woofer for a bit of sun and fresh air. Hope you all have a lovely weekend - the weather looks good. xx0 -

De-lurking briefly to say that job centre will cover the travel costs of getting to interviews (if you are on JSA I think. DS1 had several commutes to London which they covered and this was only benefit he was claiming) You have to ask and fill in forms and whatnot, and obviously they don't go out of their way to inform you

Good morning ladies
Well what a busy lot you all are, with your "extreme cleaning".
WW - house fabbing sounds to be going well. Unfortunately the house clearance people never pay what a piece of furniture is "worth". They have to pay what is the equivalent of "wholesale" prices to make it worth their while.
This is why I only restore and upcycle furniture for my own personal use.
A couple of years ago I shabby chicced one of those orange pine Welsh dressers. I saw a very similar Laura Ashley one at £600.
I paid £25 for it, plus paint, say another £20. It must have taken a good 20 hours spread over a couple of weeks, say £10 an hour, plus delivery costs. Say £300 then for a fair price, and that is without taking into account any overheads such as marketing or some kind of display space.
Whilst I love doing it I can't realistically see a good business model there. So I just restore and upcycle things for our own use.
DS1 has bought a tatty mahogany table and chair set. I'm going to try and French Polish these though, not paint them.
Anyway - A very big "Hello" and a very warm welcome to our lovely newbies. Welcome aboard the Fab express.
I am another CK1 one girl here, a nice light citrus smell. I also pinch my sons Jean Paul Galtier - the one in the blue bottle shaped like a woman's body.
Both are quite unisex I think and lovely for a light day time fragrance.
I used to wear Mitsouko by Guerlain - it was my favourite and of course Channel No 5. Unfortunately I can't seem to wear them now, they seem too heavy and give me headaches.
Well thankfully my back is a lot easier, not my arm though so again need to take things easy today, no lifting.
Bitsy - hope your back is better soon. What a pair are we.:rotfl:
The sun is shining and the wind has dropped - hopefully it will be a bit warmer later.
Today we are going for a second look at the house we viewed last week. The boys now have their certificates for their AIP's (Advance in Principle) for their mortgages, we have a solicitor lined up, so if we still like it on the second viewing then we'll go for it.
Will keep you posted.

Thanks I will revisit that one, now I have looked at the bottle I remember I have had that in the past.
Just had a look at some online to see what ones I could remember and it's all a bit overwhelming with so many new and added variants of old ones.Mortgage

I did a bit of shower fabbing yesterday, exfoliated and moisturised.
Todays the end of our Easter holidays, everyone is back to school/work on Monday and the daily routine starts again.
I have a big shopping trip planned the second weekend of May and I want to get my summer clothes. Ideally I want to be 10lbs lighter (I put on a lot of weight in winter), and save some money so I can spend without guilt. Is 10lbs in 5 weeks doable?Seriously money saving0 -
