My whole PC HD is only 40GB, split between a C: drive (system files/programs) and a D: drive (my data). It's really over full and would take a week to go through and sort out duplicates, what's needed etc..... I really need to increase the C: partition so I can defrag it.

Never heard of a cobb, googled it.

Blimey - never knew such things existed. That looks neat.

Then I saw the price and I thought of all the fray bentos pie tins that'd pay for :)

You say "the whole thing goes into a dishwasher" ... I've never had one.

How hard is it to clean by hand in a small kitchen sink?

Easy. I have cleaned it in our kitchen sink too. Expensive but folds down to neat storage and cooks in 5 minutes from a cobb stone.

You can pop by anytime, did invite you for garden party :)

    ARGHHHH...need to write!!

It works well for us as we don't have space to store a bbq (hate walking to garage) and cooks from 5 mins (OH hated BBQ as would have to wait too long before you can start cooking)

That adrive looks good, never looked into these things too deeply before as the playing field changes so often as as I've been working with PCs since 1986 I've hung onto "the way I've always done things", as we all do.

It's quite roomy and they don't mind if you don't log in for a couple of years (as I just discovered)!:)

It is (or was) slightly more of a faff than some storage systems though so I let it be (after opening the account in case they withdrew the free version).

Might be more useful now, seems to have improved / easier interface and runs of android. Ta to michaels for the tip.

By the way, it appears that the next nice people thread is becoming relatively urgent. Miss K, is it you I need to co-ordinate with?

:D you and me today! i have 3k words, need to be bumped up to about 5 or 6.5k really.

was too exhausted the last few days, working full time and applying for jobs and having a house/normal life/gym is not healthy.

Oh MissK! I can't imagine you not being full of energy.

Nikki, I'm so pleased that you are making good progress. Well done!

Yesterday, I got a new case in. So, I sat outside in the sun, drinking cups of tea and reading every one of the 500 pages. I now can't see the original file for the post-it notes stuck all over it.

The point of this long story is that maybe you two would benefit from working outside for a bit, weather permitting?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Mr S is away this weekend and I am in charge of everything.

This means I have to do stuff. And as you can see, I am on here:(

I may be reduced to doing a list and reporting on my progress as I cannot be trusted to motivate myself. The paper list on the kitchen table is having no effect whatsoever.
Do not read beyond this point, unless in need of something to get you off to sleep.
    So far:
Have walked the dog (not on list but most important):)
A whites wash done and hung on line:)

To do(:) =now done ..who says star charts don't work?)
    Hoover throughout:)
    Polish
    Clean kitchen:)
Clean bathroom (will delegate to DD)
Shop for dinners Sat - Weds:)
    Ironing:)
Sort packing for long weekend - hand luggage only
    Cook chicken casserole for tonight:)
Walk dog again (will delegate to DD):)
    Make Beautician appt:)
    More washing:)
Confirm visitors for tomorrow and Weds.:)

There are other things to do - wash out chicken houses and weed veg patch but they are not even making it to the list.

I'd rather your list than Mr. S' tasks, though.

Crikey PN, we're at 4TB of stored data and rising.

    How do you cope?
