I did see the World's Busiest Hotel though. Wow! The Venetian in Las Vegas gets 50,000 visitors a day. The operations management behind the scenes was astonishing.
That sounds interesting, wish I'd seen that .... if it was on my telly that is.

I was around Pastures but thought the same:rotfl:. I was so bored I went looking round other boards for something to post. Then went to bed.

Me too! I got to the end of Results Chapter 1 yesterday (very rough, needs a few more references etc, but I finally got to the end of it), so I rewarded myself with a stop off at Sainsbury's on the way home to pick up curry bits and pieces, which I washed down with a beer and a night off watching rubbish on the tv for a 'treat'.

    Now onto Chapter 2...

Lir - hope your day improves, and that you and fir manage to have some 'date' time even if you don't get away from your newly upvalued home :)

Spirit - the clip of the baby elephant was super cute. If I manage to get the house with a garden, I'd planned on getting a paddling pool for next summer (optimistic or what?!) and I expect I will be even less elegant :)

Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I've always wanted to be able to say that. Last bbq I was invited to was about 10 years ago; some bloke's garden and 20 people. Burgers, buns and some booze... it was nice.

I've probably been to less than 6 bbqs in my life.

I just love the whole idea of the excitement of a bbq'd burger .... and some bowls of sides and some bread rolls .... all on a plastic plate; with an option for having seconds.

If all goes well with house-with-garden-and paddling-pool, maybe you'll be invited to another one. There would be plenty of space to stay over too.
It would be doing me a favour anyway, I'll feel silly having bbq's on my own (not that I would let that stop me).

I'm sure you'll manage that missk - and they'll be a lot higher quality than what I've been writing.
My writing style has largely been 'stream of consciousness' with a strong undercurrent of over-analysis of a handful of experiments. Definitely aiming to just scrape over the line rather than producing something to be hugely proud of. As one of my colleagues told me yesterday that their supervisor had told them - what grade do you get for a PhD? Pass or fail, that's it.

Have you scoped out Ikea online yet Nikki for ideas for stuff for your house?
I can recommend Evernote for gathering your ideas together..
