Why are you in today? Could you have done it from home?
I am at home but have some work to do..several hours worth..either do it tonight or get up very early in the morning to do it. Has to be done for tomorrow...and I have been a bit 'last minute' about it. At least the 'home connect' means I do not have to go in.0 -

Bit of a bummer.... I've been scratching my head for weeks to think up how I can do it, without doing it, iyswim.
Google grabs all the top spots itself too - if you type in, say, hotels in london, you won't get websites any more, you'll get a map of them and links to them at the top, done by google. Anything worth having, google is filtering off to its own system.0 -

Wanted some peace and quiet. As luck would have it the only other person on my entire floor was the chap who sits next to me but he didn't hang around for long so manged to get stuff done.
I can't really work from home as I just watch tv and don't do any work!0 -

In all seriousness, the big races are at about 5pm, so if you can get out before, around or not long after then, you should avoid the same problem going home.
Yeah looked up the timetable and escaped at 16.50!0 -

It has definitely got potential.
I've got the address of the farmhouse my ancestors had in the late 19th century, but it's been knocked down and new one with the same name built thereMade me sad.

So we viewed a couple of places on Saturday. This one - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-37267591.html which we liked but was too small all round and we won't be buying as a result - shame though in a good location (pub nearby...) and really nice garden as well. Didn't like the extension on next door which reminded me of a nosey neighbour peering into the garden of the place we were viewing. I thought it was significantly overpriced given the size and anyway it wasn't big enough for us.
I won't post a link to the other one we saw as it's a possibility although it needed a bit of work. It had a really good kitchen/entertaining space (OH likes other people so we need entertaining space although I'll probably sit in the shed until they eff off). Need to see others to compare it to as well.0 -

House for me would be: too big, wrong layout, hate the neighbour's ugly extension. Oh and .... nearly 4x the amount I've got to spend0 -

Its good to be back etc I see the humour is still alive.
We have finally moved into a property that needs a lot of work doing to it so that should keep me quiet for awhile.
Its lovely to have Broadband back working on a land line rather than using a strange device called a 'dongle' that was as slow as a lazy snail.
Look forward into spending some time going back posts to see what has changed along the way.0 -
I got seriously over excited with guests on Friday, and everything else going on. I don't think I behaved at my best tbh, (over excited , over tired and starting to show off
). Can't have been too bad though as they invited themselves back.
I'm at hospital tomorrow ( not Spider-Man day) and trying to sort out clothes. How dreadful is it to have bra straps showing outside a top?0
