the doctor wants to chew half my leg off with a scalpel so I have to go in for minor surgery involving a general anaesthetic which I hate.

So what is the alternative chewy...have it done whilst you are awake?

Not sure people 'like' GAs they are just usually better than the alternative.

You can get time-release set pill containers, can't you? Which spring open at the right time, and can be loaded up with a few days' worth.

Some years ago, a kind thoughtful person bought me a days of the week tablet container.

It made me feel decrepit and I binned it as soon as they had left. I was mortified.

That's because everyone who takes contraceptive pills takes the same dose of one a day. Most other pills may be taken at different doses by different patients, so it would be difficult to produce them with the days already printed on.

    .

Many of mine have the day of the week on them, where they are a single daily dose.

How was the village do? Shoes worn? B 1 tchy women trounced? Fun had?
    Pop up .......

As for us, we want to do something sort of 'life improving'. If we stayed here there is no chance of us being on 'holiday' being respected. :(.

We went to London this evening to see Private Lives. It was fantastic.. really life enhancing. If we had time I would see it again.

Supper was in the pop up Jamie Oliver Diner beforehand (although I think it has been there a couple of years....so a bit long in the tooth to be called a pop up IMO). Food was good value though - 2 courses for 2 plus 2 cocktails and a soda for £53. Horrible avocado chips..just had to try them.

The play was so good it made us want to have a few days in London just going to see 'stuff'. Daft as it sounds, I felt alive and inspired...and a tad lovey dovey towards OH.:o

Go for it! Go for the spiritual improvement. Although, I must say that I like PN's idea of camping in the back garden for a night or two, too. You can do both.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

My Mama had one during her chemotherapy - she had to take so many different pills, she rattled. She did use it, and steadfastly ignored my Dad when he took the p!ss. (Which is usually a good idea, anyway).

Let's hope for OH's sake that's not too rare an experience - or one which only occurs in London (-:
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Yes, we can do both, and should,I agree.

Village do was fine. I never actually got in the do though, I got waylaid out side for the full five hours! Talking to different people. I was unable to wear the shoes (DH says this is always a measure of how serious things are....) but I was able to walk to the carpark up the hill, which DH didn't think I'd be able to....I showed him :):).

Ticket sales were significantly down, alcohol sales significantly up this year. There was an event on in the next village too. Dh's friend thought it was hilarious that something we could have arranged in an afternoon had someone come up and ask me if I was ' coming to the wash down meeting' next week ;)

    It went fine. :)

We have a job you could definitely do Ms k but it is not in your field and would probably only suit if you were in London or near by.

Didn't even think to look for the forum till now. Spanish students left yesterday, lots of tears from them and DKs and a very nice message from one on Facebook this morning that we are the nicest family ever...tbh I am a bit worried about what her family in like that ours was so good in comparison....
    I think....
