Its totally the wrong sort of weather to make pastry in as well pastures. Mine is probably tough. Its an offering of bounty and love (and fruit) rather than culinary excellence. I don't even expect the boys to eat it really, but it is there if they need something sweet.0

The other thing about Who Do You Think You Are is that, in the main, they're toffs and their ancestors were slaveowners or big house/servant owners..... could have afforded to pay for it themselves.0

Does it cover South Devon as that would be useful for me in a few weeks?
Everyone here is off for the hols now, makes going into work even harder and if I call home in the day they are all having a great time with friends round and in the pool...On Saturday I am applying for my remortgage, hopefully it will be approved although I have had more credit searches this year than I would ideally have liked. Had the main objection to my little project lodged today (from the neighbour most affected). Bad news is the objection means it is likely to go to the planning committee, possible good news is I think we can address all the objections which should then take the sting out of any objection received from that direction.
Don't know what I am going to do this weekend without you lot

Used to have a summer job fitting it. Involved crawling along the vents and putting in rivets from the inside. Every time I see Bruce Willis or Jack Bauer doing it it looks like you could hold a party inside them. In reality you couldn't turn your head.
It's how I found out I'm not a claustrophobe!:D
Very impressive. But why do you need to put rivets in from the inside? I thought that the whole idea of pop rivets is that they work from either side, and in this case outside is the obvious side to work from.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Plus the top of the duct is quite close to the ceiling and there's no room for the rivet gun to fit between the two. Not sure I've quite got the physique for the job nowadays.:DThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Whale watching, we saw 2 whales.
Sorry to hear about losses of friends and boyfriends.
We've re-written wills, removing guardian recommendations.
Parent has rewritten her will, specifying that if anyone puts her in a home they lose their share of any inheritance. If she loses her marbles she wants to be cared for at home with as many carers as required. No consideration on whether this would be practical. Sigh. Probate only just done on late parent, still don't know what it said, they did have matching wills, so I guess they left all to each other.
We have just booked a sol to oversee our wills as we hadn't got around to doing proper ones....and we actually have assets and things now. We had some DIY ones that we signed and told the kids to fill them in if we both crashed the car and died......which is probably not very sensible.
There are Q's on bits that I hadn't even thought of before.
Don't think there will be any 'conditions' as such as when I am dead, well I am dead. No, I'm saying that I am, and you led me on. I was on water until you arrived and started buying scrummy red wine. Then it all spiralled downhill.
Edit: BTW, when are you going to lead me on again?PasturesNew wrote: »If I went right now mine'd be a max of 3, immediate family.
It wouldn't be if someone told the NP's but then again, who would do that? Does anyone know your login and that you have mates on here?
I know my OH wouldn't know how to log on, I don't think he knows my username...
Going back to quote other stuff now
I had no idea Vivs OH was ill........how did I miss that? I feel bad.....hope he recovers as soon as he can.
And LIR Heathen? eh, !!!!!!....Why do the think that? Do you really want to hang out with these people as it should be fun 'work' not stress for you.0 -
I hope Saturday goes well and the recovery continues to gather pace.

awww. OH's aunt and uncle were both first loves and are my ideal couple. I think they were 15. They are both about 63 now.
She is coping. We think he could feel like doing a bit of Tomcatting but is a decent lad so ended it first though it is still kind of odd as then sends these loving messages with stuff like ' I will miss my gorgeous babe ' (excuse the teen lingo quote) which is all odd....but our job is to support and not to pry and be tolerant as she had the 'angry' day today.I saw this earlier and thought of fc: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-23320393
Aha, I love this sort of stuff and I am actually written about in the following article (well.....1 line....ummm, a few words really). I was involved in it and sorted it out to park outside LFW. I remember spending a whole afternoon merchandising it, sorting the rails etc and cleaning it to go there...did it as a favour at the time. Can't say much in public but I have no time for him at all now.
The entire thing wasn't executed very well but the concept/idea was good. In the end he lost about 100k on the scheme and flogged the bus on Ebay for a few grand.

That might be it. It all goes on between a false and a real ceiling (except the false ceiling wasn't fitted yet).
Did read a news article donkeys years ago about someone at a university in Oz whose work permit expired and who moved out of her accommodation and started living in the ducts. Must have been a lot bigger than the ones I was dealing with.:DThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
