This may sound a strange question Hamish, but do you have a relatively small wrist? My husband isn't small built but he has quite slim wrist and the oversized watches look like the horological equivalent of clown shoes on him. Horrid. As is anything with jewels for decoration, bleurgh...

    No, not really.

I have to wear the larger size watches or it looks odd, but hate the bling and oversized ones.

Watches sort of are jewellery for men?

i meant for women. men shouldn't wear jewellery of any form (except perhaps cufflinks). especially those stupid gold neck chain things. anyone caught wearing one of those should be vigorously beaten and then chucked in a pit.

    Ah.

Mrs McT rarely wears any jewellery at all other than her wedding ring and watch.

I think men can get away with a watch, cufflinks, and a wedding band.

Although perhaps not all at the same time...:)

Glad you cleared that up, was beginning to worry.

Would you wear a wedding ring?

also on the subject of watches, it irritates me that no-one seems to make left handed watches. obviously it doesn't irritate me that much as i don't wear one anyway.

tie pin is allowable only if wearing an MCC tie.

otherwise - beaten and chucked in the pit with the rest.

right handed people should be grateful for left handed people as without the lefties all dying early the aging population issues would be that much worse. your tax rate is probably a couple of percent lower thanks to us.
