OH is away for the weekend with her parents. i am really enjoying it. on friday night when i was putting some washing on, i dropped a load of change, a lighter and a couple of receipts all over the kitchen floor. instead of picking it up i just left it there. it's still there now. it's like i'm single again.0

I rarely take my watch off. I wear it in the shower, in bed, when I go swimming... I'd kill a Tank by water and overwinding. I wear a cheap waterproof watch for that reason (Fossil). DH does the same. He had a Tag that he went body surfing in and the bezel got ripped off by the current. They couldn't believe it until they saw it, it was interesting getting it repaired under warranty. They went from "yeah right" to "wow, kudos".Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Dh's wedding ring is fake btw.
He's going top get one from same jeweller as my replacement one, and get me another one too, but some time in the future. It's not a big deal to him. I don't mind whether he wears one or not so its not a big deal to me, I would quite like him to have the nice jeweller one because its beautiful and I'd get to look at it.. And I want another one too, but not more than I want other stuff...so it keeps getting shunted forward.

Crickey, sounds more like having a bad back than singledom to me. That's what our floor often looks like.0 -

Yes absolutely.
Watches aren't everybody's thing, and no reason they should be.
I like some watches because of their history, some because the design is timeless and elegant, some because I know the movement is so good, etc.
I don't much like the current fad for big oversized bling watches, and I tend not to buy anything new, as I want to see if that style holds it's appeal to me over many years before I buy it.
I do have a real soft spot for old and vintage watches, no idea why other than they're often good value and I just like the simplicity of design, and that they tend to be more understated than newer styles.
With the vintage or rare models it's also nice knowing that what may be quite a valuable watch would not be recognised as such by the vast majority of people, so quite safe to wear in any situation without looking ostentatious.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

This may sound a strange question Hamish, but do you have a relatively small wrist? My husband isn't small built but he has quite slim wrist and the oversized watches look like the horological equivalent of clown shoes on him. Horrid. As is anything with jewels for decoration, bleurgh...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Watches sort of are jewellery for men?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I'm now envisioning chewy as a medallion man instead.
