Lydia, the season lasts three weeks. Dog dog is not yet in ( they come in together ish, like women ) so maximum six weeks. Not as bad as with difficult babies.
Deep breath LIR - a couple of nights' good sleep and everything will seem OK again, nothing like being knackered to make everything worse. Glad your water's sorted, at least.
I gather the women menstruating together thing is a myth, though?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I think the main thing is we sort of 'live' for weekends, so when they go wrong for 'no good reason' its a bit of a drama because they are lost. Theoretically in the cycle of my dramas this should be my 'best weekend' so I sort of assumed I'd get some stuff done.
I'm not opposed to napping, I nap most weekdays:o. I don't want to sleep like I did last summer and I know that was probably in part because I wasn't pacing myself. (Pacing oneself sounds so boring, doesn't it?)
As for women menstruating together, i don't know about the myth aspect. My female flat mates and room mates and I have always synchronised somewhat,(not totally...because I have pcos impact on cycle, but I am, for example, more regular when I live with other women) and horses and dogs do too. Apart from those personal experiences its not something I know much about!)0 -
I can see that - while you can look forward to the weekends as regular "honeymoons", it puts more pressure on you both to enjoy every moment of them, as you don't have time otherwise.
<hug>
Does seem as if it doesn't happen:
The insurmountable hurdle in all the studies, he says, is that women often have persistent cycles of different lengths. As such, they can never truly synchronize, just randomly phase in and out of synchrony over the months as their cycles diverge and converge.

We are going to the IOW for the day, taking OH's neice and her 2 daughters.
I have packed a picnic and husband is very pleased with me because I have bought some stuff and not felt compelled to make everything : Egg mayonaise rolls, gammon rolls; cornish pasties (from fab bakers) mini cheddars, bananas, individual cakes (from fab bakers)
Iced coffee in a flask, beers, apple juice, orange & mango juice & individual bottles of still/fizzywater.
Just a picnic rug, not chairs etc. We are planning a simple bucket and spade day - the girls will bring theirs and we have badminton and snorkels. We will all squeeze into Mr S's car so the ferry was only about £50 return.
Not going to take the dog as A) he and the picnic would share the boot :eek:B) it may be too hot. We feel very guilty though as he loves the sea.
We will be back here for a BBQ supper before the girls go home and DD will be with him all day so he will have lots of fuss.0 -
Sounds a very good day - have fun! How old are the infants?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

They never lived with Plum...Plummy went 28 days ( we all knew about day 26... It became a running joke) and I remember one famous 29th day where there was such collective concern after the 26 th that never was and the bf no one much liked that a good half a dozen people 'happened' to have ' spare' pregnancy tests' if she needed one in the next few days. :rotfl:0 -
I have to be diplomatic here- a rubbish fake is clearly a problem (God help us if the glass side was facing your wrist/ the numbers were in binary./pained on in invisible ink/ it told French revolutionary metric time with 10 hours and 100 minutes etc.) but if it was a really good fake, and someone hasn't the correct money;sense ratio to know the difference, the big problem with such a really good fake would be..........?
you devalue the intellectual property of the person/persons who created it. Someone has spent the time and effort to create something which is worth more and you want it so you pay for it.
This is an issue that comes up with some of my friends who are designers (fashion is one where something gets copied a lot, fc123 can probably tell you that) and music. When you rip music off someone, you are taking away their livelihood.
The best way to keep people creative is to buy things.0 -

I am finding toothbrush heads an issue, even on Amazon it seems hard to know and the reviews do not necessarily help where there is more than one supplier.
Sorry this goes back to the original vs fakes discussion, Even on a big name retailer like Amazon it seems you can not be sure that oral-b brush heads are the real thing and not counterfeit, the reviews should help but for one set they are a real mixture, some saying great, others saying fake but then there are 4 suppliers of the same item so it is possible that the reviews relate to different suppliers but there is no indication of which reveiw realtes to which supplier. Buying known fake heads seems like a false economy but the genuine heads are extermely expensive so shopping around is worth while.I think....0 -
