In that case, can you explain it to me? It went whooosh past me, faster than Superman.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Are you saying that people who wear watches do better in exams?
No; but in my 25 years teaching experience people who do badly in exams seem to almost never have watches.
Do they die early? By how much?
Several years I'm afraid. Some NPs might have more specialist knowledge on this

I'm still looking for a plural of scampo and spaghetto. I hope I'l find them eventually so I can order more than one of each.:)

Plural of index is indices. I think there are other words that behave the same way, but can't think of any just at the moment, and DD is trying to drag me out, which is somewhat distracting. :o
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Free sex, does his washing, tidies up and cooks meals.... and thinks he's marvellous, while everybody else he knows calls him T0sser B0b or something.

My OH is losing out. He only gets one of the material benefits, although I do think the sun shines out of his every orifice, as well.

I cook sometimes, we both do laundry, and OH is far tidier than I am!

It must be one spaghett .... and lots of spaghetti.

Nobody's ever said "I ordered spaghetti and only got one piece", therefore that must be the plural :)

    Must be a posh alert.
No idea what the first thing is, second thing I've only ever seen in period dramas on the telly.

A tie pin is a fairly pointless thing, usually a bit like a kirby grip for ties, to hold the two bits together. Or it can be a thing you stick through the material, a bit like a hatpin.

Collar studs - people's grandads wore them, and barristers do now. Not a posh alert, because they have to have different collars for court, which are fixed on to a collarless shirt with studs, as are the normal ones you put on before and after court (if you can be arsed).

Tie pin - £40, and only silver plated!

There's probably something "adorable" on Etsy, using recycled and upcycled materials from Tiffany's vintage range :)

... which will look like a load of old tosh and have a ridiculously high price tag.

Maybe - but most barristers go for the traditional type, I think. OH's are ones that I bought second-hand, 18 carat gold, for the scrap value in 2000, when he was Called to the Bar. Gold's gone up a lot in price since then (-:

    So... was she pregnant?

It's well known that some women have regular cycles and others don't. The regular types presumably aren't affected by anything and won't synchronise with other women, but perhaps the irregular women can be affected by various factors, and maybe synchronising with other women is one of the things that can do it.

I should have used a fake name. I suppose there are a few Plums about though.

    Yes she was.
