I've got lots to worry about and that still winds me up, along with people calling Mrs bugslet, based presumably on my age. Miss or Ms, not bothered, but not Mrs!

Well....it did used to be mrs for all of us...especially for women with status in work life like you.....

I think you should adopt a title. Engine bugs let. Or dogslet bugslet

Before that - Mistress Bugslet, or Goodwife Bugslet.

    Prefer one of those.......?

Many years ago when Mr Bugs used to run a courier company, one of his rather fly, but deeply entertaining rough diamond drivers sent his driving license back to the DVLA and had it amended so that it read Mr XXXX XXXX OBE. He wasn't an OBE, but once the license came back, which it did with no supporting proof required, it became 'fact'. I wonder if that would happen now?

Mistress......there's a possibility there, but Goodwife:eek:. Don't know wether to be more offended by the 'good' or the 'wife':D.

Just for clarity, I enjoy a good wedding and no problem with anyone else being married, purely my own personal aversion.

Or Dame Bugslet - it was a respectful address for respected women in late medieval times, rather than a title, IIRC.

I've just been composing a diatribe on the Peasants Revolt 1381 in another thread on the Debate board - because some idiot banker decided that the current situation and the Peasants Revolt are in some way analogous.

He should stick to pounds, shillings and pence, I reckon.

This post is so high brow.... I didn't even understand it beyond a smattering of the first words :)

All I gleaned was: You're writing stuff, on another board, because a banker there's annoyed you.

Don't believe a word of that - you're extremely clever, that much is obvious.

Hmmm Dame, has a certain ring to it!

I had a look at your response NDG, I've learned something. :)

PN, the uniform rules are relaxed at Bugs Trucking, too hot to drive. Always worries me as well that they don't get a good nights sleep in this weather.

Clever and educated are different things. I am very clever, but without education and knowledge it was tough reading :)

Don't people want things trucking when it's hot? I didn't sleep last night, in an owned home I'd be making adjustments to the windows to ensure I could get good airflow; in rented you can't go knocking things about :)
