Is GDB about? I cannot find our lovely seed light link. (I don't need to pick that scab) but thought I'd share the Bruce muro rain light link if I hadn't already. And no, I don't know how much it costs, and yes, I realise that is probably out of budget too.
NDG, don't fancy turning your very multitalented hands to lighting design, huh? Nice seed light GDb and I want for 24k or a Bruce Munro rain eqsue rain light installation over my kitchen table?.

Lighting seems a real bête noir for me.
I still haven't found the cheap metal chandeliers to use as frames for my twig chandeliers either. Secretly I think its because I have a suspicion I will not be able to make them look anything like the pictures I like and they'll be a constant source of disappointment and self abasment. Sigh.
Oh, I remember the seed light! Very, very nice.
But enough weight there that you'd need to get the structural engineer in before hanging it, and IIRC it cost around £25k.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
any ideas for using up gooseberries please? i will make jam with some but we don't eat that much of it.0

Omg, I have to restrain my self from gorging on them as I pick them. I love them. They are almost as perfect as rhubarb.
with mackeral
Or as fool (simple is best)
My imagination has gone now. ......:o0 -
ooo...with mackeral? how?
i was going to make a fool but i prefer it with loads and loads of cream rather than yogurt.0 -
So we've established I'm not very nice.
I'm going to have a little bad daughter moan here, to get it out of my system
My mum finally had her knee replacement today (third time lucky), all seems to have gone well (touch wood)She's hoping to be out Thursday or more likely Friday.
My flatmate and her boyfriend are going to a festival this weekend, and it would have been nice to enjoy a weekend with the flat to myself. I was umming and ahhing about whether I could casually check if I was wanted back this weekend...
Just spoke to mum and she was told me that she was telling the surgeon that her daughter would be back on Friday to look after her. Good job I didn't check!
I [STRIKE]feel [/STRIKE] am very mean for even considering not going back.I will take Friday afternoon off and hopefully I can do the pick up from the hospital on my way back to the mothership0 -

What kind of sicko puts yoghurt in a fool? Cream all the way!
Gooseberries with mackeral is a tradition.

Just read an article in teh Telegraph on increasing numbers of wives retaining their maiden name.
I have been married for almost 30 years...at work and in my banking I am known by my maiden name . Driving licence and passport have my surname followed by my husbands surname.
I the last few years I have added my husbands surname to my surname on health records, but all those years ago when DD was born, I only used my own name.
My mddled appraoch to names mmeans that at teh dry cleaners it sound like I am trying to nick other peoples clothes as I go through a list of possibilities.
What is it like in other NP households?0 -

I am hoping this year to finally make transition in all but one bank account for dribs and drabs. I don't bother to update stuff that came to my maiden name that I worked in...it's pennies now.
Each time I have updated something I have made the transition, so lived a both life. DH and I had mothers in dramatically different careers who both used both names sometimes, so its a family concept, but for me, not working, there is no reason to and I don't feel like that person any more. It's time to be mrs found in rates, that's really who I am now.0
