There are very very few times where childlessness brings smugness. Never in my life will I ever have to endure such hideousness.

Good to see the famed incorruptible British judicial system in operation...oh and isn't 'seamstress' a euphemism?
Going home in a minute - recorder concert to grit teeth through then new bicycle to assemble and cake to bake.
Trust me, a recorder concert is inadequate preparation for the violin concert you will have to sit through in 5 years time.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. On another thread I did suggest that the accordion would most likely be the main musical instrument the damned would have to endure for eternity in hell but I've had some food for thought now.
Senior schools like to construct a school orchestra. You would not need many accordian players in an orchestra, but you accommodate quite a few violin players.
DS2s secondary school made it compulsary to learn a musical instrument in the first year. A laudable aim, designed to widen appreciation of music. Those already learning or with a clear aptitude for a particular instrument self selected, the rest had to be directed towards the remaining instruments. Certain woodwind instruments can't be learned until mouthes/ teeth are fully developed and some interfere with braces (or maybe vice versa). Anyway that left the violin corner with its fair share of the unmusical.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. AlL my sweet peas are meant to be white this year, btu this shocking pink interloper is delightfully irreverent and so particularly welcome. A reminder, no matter how hard one tries to control things, a pink sweet pea might get through, and what cannot be controlled isn't always unpleasant.0 -
That's absolutely lovely, LIR....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
