Thoughts: We didn't have any of this cr4p in the 60s.

Forget the iron ons.... dangerous/need irons. You could do painting pebbles (not making booby scarves), or drawing on T shirts/bags with pens for the job.

Or, what's wrong with some good old party games? Musical chairs, postman's knock and pass the parcel (with a huge bar of chocolate in the middle)?

Well there is zumba and face painting and stiock on Tattoos and pass the parcel of course and cake/tea and a 'mocktail/ice-cream bar' and then if it is sunny there will be running around with water-pistols, the 'pool', water slides, the trampoline, swings and climbing frame. If it rains then we may have to resort to PS2 dance mats and wii just dance plus the bag/tshirt decorating.
    I think....

Is this a birthday party for one of your daughters, Michaels?

Volunteering leave?? Sounds like a cushy number; never heard of that before....

I've always said "Just because something's free doesn't mean you can afford it" - and looking at the ferry cost this is one of those instances.

Free meals are always good ... though rare.

I'd not want to attempt to put up my own tent, although as you're stewarding there'll be people there prepared to help you, unlike a public site where they'd sit and watch the free entertainment.

Its a newish thing - I'm helping the company show how socially repsonsible and generous they are :)

Stewards get a couple of free meals on shift days. Usually lots of lentils involved, which never sounds like a good plan! Though there is also cooked stuff at breakfast.

Not as fabulous as glamping, but until I have someone to glamp with it'll do.

I've never had help putting up my tent. Not needed it so far, which will hopefully continue! I was at Glastonbury when there were big floods, I managed to put it up well enough to survive that (I had picked a spot towards the top of a slope mind you ;))

When it's light and hot, as it is at the moment, I find I don't need much sleep. Which is great, more time to do other stuff!

It's Isaac's school fete on Saturday, so I'm being a domestic goddess - making lavender bags, and planning cakes.

Should point out, for the sake of OH's reputation, that I've not been throttled or grabbed by him, even taking into account the domestic goddess act......

It's all very odd. It was an oddly beautiful start to a relationship and a very commonplace stereotypicalyl ugly end it seems.

BUT that's only what it seems...you never know what goes on inside a relationship. Sometimes, indeed, it seems to me each half of it seems blind to the other half.

    Yep, :o

It's a shame really, although its not all great there is good stuff in there. Really fantastic quality men's suits for example. Other stuff is men's shirts with adequate but not pristine collar and cuffs (and owned in excess so going), weirdly though heaps of t shirts (corporate gifts......such a weird gift for people who have to mainly wear shirts:rotfl:).

Even the scare crow is wearing a mulberry shirt and a evening suit such is our ridiculous bounty of clothes we won.t wear and need to get rid of atm
