Is having an annual street party a posh alert?
    Yes.

I've never been to one ever .... they're not common even on things like Jubilee years.

How about have a street party ever we fancy one? Being the only people in The street and all? We could have it in our lay by, but tend to just have a cuppa tea in the garden. :rotfl:

I keep having to come in its so hot. DH is bravely tackling the nettle forest in the back garden.

Perhaps not, but I did feel pretty good about myself in morrisons in Leeds.

Well the zumba is finished, the fire engine has been and gone, the barbecue has been digested, the cakes are being eaten, the kids are scooting, cycling, chalking the street, playing table tennis and table football and surprisingly many are in our paddling pool out front or the pool at the back...whilst the adults are kicking back with cold beer listing to the band doing their first set. If Carlsberg did street parties....
    I think....

    Sounds blissful M!

I've just been in watching the tennis today, but that's been nice too.

My Dad just rang to say he's around later, and could he drop in to say hello. I forgot to ask how he happened to be "passing" Clerkenwell from 60 miles away in rural Kent!

Did you speak to any neighbours?

Official letter arrives from next door's insurer. Our trees could be disturbing their foundations so could we please remove them!

Neighbours don't want us to touch our trees, but to ask insurers for proof that our trees are causing damage.

    Sigh!

We don't have them annually, but we do have customary barbaques with several neighbours occasionally.

Got to bury a rabbit shortly, she died yesterday :(
