You can get de-tangle spray for dogs, which means you can just brush knots out.

That sounds like what I need!

    Never needed such things before.....:o

Surely zag has heard of mogwai?
I'm watching it now on 4+1, will definitely watch again next week :)

I suspect he probably has...I might find out when I turn the page.:D

It's an intruiging programme. I like the idea, & the end of the programme threw me quite a bit!

Being a bit of a wimp, Les Revenants sounds far too scary for me. As someone who normally avoids the scary bits by watching through her fingers, I'm not sure how I can make that work with subtitles. Dr Who is about as scary as I go.

    It isn't scary....yet.:o
Though the one little boy is quite intimidating.
I have vaguely heard of mogwai but I couldn't tell you whether they are some kind of acid house outfit or country and western...

Looked at the glastonbury line up last night. There were about 20 bands I've heard of across all stages on all days and two that I actually care about seeing (public enemy and the heavy). Good job I like drinking overpriced warm lager in a damp field otherwise it would be rubbish.

Mogwai are lush! But definitely not acid house or C&W (spits).

Public Enemy will be simply quite awesome. Superb live performers.

Glastonbury has become a pipe dream to me now...

I can never keep up either, it's like a full time job and I'm off again tomorrow for two days, so it'll be catch up again.

That eat plants, mostly food, came from Michael Pollen, who came up with a number of sensible suggestions /rules for food, including the gem, ' If it arrives throught your car window, it's not food';)
    !

    Awesome. Have to google him...

Lazy alert, I know I could just look on the Herts Library website and get answers:

Viva, if I buy DD2 a Nook will she be able to borrow books from Herts libraries on it? I think it can be 'rooted' and have a 'stock rom' installed to support 'Calibre' if that helps?
    I think....

I now know how Zag feels, having looked at Michael Pollan & deciding I want "Food Rules" and also "An Omnivores Dream"!

I've googled the bloke. He's very quotable:

    - “You are what what you eat eats.”
    - “Rule No.37 The whiter the bread, the sooner you’ll be dead.”
    - “Don't eat anything incapable of rotting.”[try putting a Big Mac on your window sill this summer if you want to see what he means]
    - “When chickens get to live like chickens, they'll taste like chickens, too.”
    - “Not everyone can afford to eat well in America, which is a literal shame, but most of us can: Americans spend less than 10 percent of their income on food, less than the citizens of any other nation. ”[I agree with this one in the UK and Aus too: most people in most rich countries have choices but aren't interested in the morality of them]
    - “If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don't. ”
    - “Rule No. 12: shop the peripheries of the supermarket and stay out of the middle.”

It's all me, me, me today.

Another question for NP (possibly especially Herts NP), how does one go about finding a reliable tax advisor (specialising in domestic property)?

Edit - I did like 'rule 12 above, it takes a bit of thought but it does make sense except in our supermarket that would mean eating TVs, socks, children's toys and gluten free and drinking mixers.

Yes, our edges would have us eating...flowers, sandwiches, magazines, sports stuff and bikes, pharmacy and toiletries, bread and cakes, deli and cheese, pizza rotisserie, then ( phew) butchers and fish. Final run would be cereals and my favourite WINE and spirits.

Sounds alright. I'd miss veg, but I'll drink more instead:)

Surely wine is just fermented grape juice so must qualify as one on your 5 a day?!

Unfortunately five wines don't seem to mean all of your five a day:(

thinking of PN's approach to food, which is even more ad hoc than mine, this guy, the skint foodie ( never sure what links I can put on and can't here), is a serious foodie, broke and basically given up on life to eat well -interesting priorities.
