    Good luck to Mrs Generali.

    I recognise that lyric too.

Hell, how stupid do I feel. I just saw a whopping great big spider on the bus, leapt out of my seat and shot over the other side of the aisle. I don't think it was even venomous! What a wuss I am.

Do not poke anything in your ear and try to see a practice nurse this week to get your ear syringed if the blockage lasts more than a day or two.

And happy birthdya NDG! Hope the dog's back as well!

Yup, it came in 15 minutes later. I wasn't worried about it, I knew it would turn up. I was just irritated, because I was tired and fancied going to bed.

Both collies are firmly slumped now, they've had a busy day - 10 miles with my Dad this morning (10 miles for Dad, the dogs do quite a lot more) and 3 miles with OH, Isaac and me this afternoon across the fields, round the river and back again, and then lots of ball fetching this evening. Even they are tired, now.

Ndg, happy birthday. Are you getting younger? We seem to be getting closer in age :). Maybe I am just ageing faster. Or have got my birthdate wrong again.

I don't think I'm getting any younger. I think I'm aging rather normally, at the rate of a year every year.....

I feel old, and I'm 30 years, so don't worry too much!

I don't think we met NDG, so hi, I'm CK

    <waves>

I don't worry about it at all, actually, age doesn't seem to be something that's worth worrying about!

    Happy birthday for yesterday NDG.

After reading about your mum's recent health issues I think it lovely that she was up to cooking a family lunch.

It would take a lot more than cancer, chemotherapy and shingles to stop my lovely Mama in her cooking-family-lunches tracks. Although we all did help out with peeling spuds and carrots and so forth, and slicing leeks and broccoli and shelling peas. We also benefited from the blackberries Isaac and I picked last autumn, which formed part of an apple and blackberry crumble.

Were you not tempted to join them?

I would have loved to, but my trial didn't finish until 4 days after they left, 3 days before their return, so I couldn't go.

Hi all.....no I don't recall Easter being a biggy at all when I was young. We didn't ever get easter eggs as we were banned sweets/choc plus it was the 1970's and we were 'poor'. :)

Sadly, we never made a big deal either so mine only got an egg from OH's mother. And we always worked our shops over the Easter weekend....something I don't miss.
I think my grandmother used to poach giant salmon @ Easter.

I have spent the entire weekend emergency babysitting my bro's kids from the sat to this evening. 6 + 7. Went to stay at his in Surrey....very quiet and serene is Esher/Walton Surrey.

I got taught a bit of Russian but have now forgotten it. They didn't want to do that much as they had been at centre parcs for the week so were worn out. Bro had 2 gigs, one in Cornwall and other in Barcelona. His car died on sat am @ Stonehenge on the way back so he got AA relayed home and borrowed my car to get to Gatwick sat afternoon....so handy it was me staying there.

I am a bit wacked though.....plus we are walking the plank again as OH put the black damp paint stuff down in the hallway today.

I did the postcode thing and thought it would come up with the
P***ey word (which is now an inappropriate word to use) but it didn't.

    It said

    Comfortably Off
    Group
    Secure Families

    Type
    Middle income, home owning areas

For my other future P/T home it said

    Urban Prosperity
    Group
    Aspiring Singles

    Type
Low income singles, small rented flats

when I thought it would just come up with something like 'no income, transient population ' or similar.
