Its one of my altime favourite vegetables. Least healthily I love it blended with cream and nutmeg. Creamed spinach is just ...sublime. I also love pancakes stuffed with spinach and ricotta and then covered in vegetable and tomato sauce, lots of celery and onion, in the sauce a grating of Cheese. One of my all time comfort foods, stuffed pancakes.
Spinach curry too.

Happy Birthday for yesterday NDG....I keep missing the birthdays!
I am as stiff as a board today, can barely move but then it was worth it, I got out last night to see a band and what an excellent band they were too!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

OH and Isaac returned late last night from Israel, where they'd been for Passover. OH said that on Friday night, at a family sabbath meal, there were 25 people present, and 15 of them were under the age of 10. There was a bet to see who could name all 15 in descending age order, which no-one won, because the children kept moving about, apparently.
Today is my birthday, and I've reached the grand age of 35, so I'm now officially elderly!
We came down to Kent, to my parents' place, in time for lunch. My mother is definitely looking a lot better for her holiday, and they seem to have had a lovely time, although the shingles is still giving her trouble. She had cooked a lovely lunch, based on a local lamb that had no food miles - it was from about 450 yards away, I'm assured.
It's bleeding nippy, though. Everyone's gone to bed except for me, and I'm up because I let the dogs out for a final nighttime wee, and one of them has pushed off. I've tried calling, now I'm going to wait 10 minutes and try again, see if he's turned up. Little sod!
Happy Birthday for yesterday. Hope the dog came back soon after you posted.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Get a spacetec pen http://www.cultpens.com/acatalog/Diplomat-Spacetec-Pens.html ; I often use them for crosswords/puzzles when lying in bed.
(and Cult Pens is one of my favourite ever websites - great for all penaholics out there).
I hope penaholics is an acceptable word - it does look a bit dodgy..
Thanks hjd.
If you are in the know about pens, can I ask you if you know if it's possible to get spare parts for a Parker 45 fountain pen? I've had it for about 25 years, and the bit where the barrel screws on has got broken, although the rest of it is still OK. I had a bit of a look online but couldn't find anything.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Fittiing as much as I can into my post, has anybody here sorted out their offspring with a phone for say over 4000 texts? The threadss seem to suggest giffgaff goodybags are the way to gio or Tesco's £7.50 capped 12-month contract. Anybody any experience of them? There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I would try giving the people at Cult Pens a go; they may be able to point you in the right direction.0
