    Duvet covers last forever, .

    Not on our bed.

My elderly cat 'mouses' imaginary mice on our bed. This means she has her claws out and makes holes in the duvet cover as she murders "it". Some puncture wounds to the fabric and some neat right angled tears.

Blooming annoying. But she is very sweet and we love her.

    Happy birthday for yesterday NDG.

After reading about your mum's recent health issues I think it lovely that she was up to cooking a family lunch.

i have a np conundrum. our sheets are tatty, they are fine/serviceable but not great looking. do i ditch them and buy new ones or wash them in a hot wash and use them a bit more?

Relegate them to spares, use them as dust sheets.

Look for a bargain and buy new. But remember you have to live with the new for years, so make sure you get something you like.

Having recently had to kit out the whole apartment with bedding, I can recommend Dunelm for reasonable price nice stuff, failing that John Lewis for quality.

Get a spacetec pen http://www.cultpens.com/acatalog/Diplomat-Spacetec-Pens.html ; I often use them for crosswords/puzzles when lying in bed.
(and Cult Pens is one of my favourite ever websites - great for all penaholics out there).
I hope penaholics is an acceptable word - it does look a bit dodgy..

Cult pens is indeed a brilliant site. DH is left handed and grips his pen very firmly. When he goes in for exams it hurts his wrist after three hours of writing so we used Cult Pens to get some special ergonomic pens with a triangular grip. Problem solved. Well worth looking at if you are someone that spends a lot of time writing, or have writing needs outside of that which can be solved by normal writing implements (such as the crosswords in ped thing).

My son has just found the road to Hell, and it's paved with tarmac!

Wonder if the damage could come from a real person who is a restless sleeper? I fall into a deep sleep but apparently I kick and flail and all sorts....

Happy birthday for yesterday ndg. Seems lots of np are spring babies.

My hospital appt letter is through but they gave me the one further away in a Monday at 2pm which means a day or half a day off work. But having waited for so long, I am just going to go. Think I will go private later (pls don't quote, will delete later tonight)

Today is my birthday, and I've reached the grand age of 35, so I'm now officially elderly!

Great to have you back NDG and we've all missed you :hello:

Don't worry about 35. By the time your 40 you'll realise that your still a young chic
