Err... yes you can hate things that are good for you.

I completely agree with that, but you can't hate things you haven't tried :)

PS If you want to fry small quantities, PN, it can be done in a saucepan. Just imagine it's a very small frying pan with unusually high sides, and away you go. :) I used to do that when I wanted to make omelette for one and only had a huge frying pan that was much too big.
I know that ..... but the saucepan I've got wouldn't be big enough for what was described, unless it was done as a 1-egger.... and I've still not got the ingredients.

She might have a tin of tomatoes, but I have my doubts as to the rest of it.
Yes always (usually) got 1-3 tins in, "in case". I use them when I do a cooked breakfast, as a side dish for macaroni cheese, to lob into chilli (not that I've made one of those since 2009)... and probably a few other times I might use them.

Indeed. Sorry - hadn't noticed that bit. I have tried spinach, though, and I know I can only manage it if it constitutes less than 25% of the item that contains it. So the puff pastry things with a small amount of spinach inside that used to be available in the canteen at my last workplace but two were fine. Likewise quiches etc with several ingredients of which spinach is only one. A squishy pile of the stuff, neat, as a side vegetable - not so much.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Buy some you like.
They are affordable and it would be nicer for you and Mr Kool.

    Recycle your old sheets.

I've rarely got through sheets.... I think most of mine are 10-20 years old and still as good as new. I'm the same with most things. I look after stuff, even though it's cheap as chips, and it just lasts forever.

Maybe I use mine differently to you lot. I sleep on them.

    I love spinach.

Its one of my altime favourite vegetables. Least healthily I love it blended with cream and nutmeg. Creamed spinach is just ...sublime. I also love pancakes stuffed with spinach and ricotta and then covered in vegetable and tomato sauce, lots of celery and onion, in the sauce a grating of Cheese. One of my all time comfort foods, stuffed pancakes.

    Spinach curry too.

I've still got duvet covers we brought back from Russia in 2002-3 (moved temporarily, then permanently), and as long as they're rotated every month or so, they stay fine.

I've also got a Siberian Wool blanket, then a huge fur blanket/throw thing that goes over, with a 13 tog duvet there somewhere. I think apart from the duvet, it's all Russian. This splits down into a 5 and 8, for summer.

Basically, my bed is warm :rotfl:
