Favourite gdget for me could only be my mp3 player, but you may say that is techie.

I was indeed (and was again over the weekend, apart from when I spent the day nearer to lir), you can now find me if you head a bit further east and go up the wooden stairs :)

I'd be happy to meet up too... weekends would work better for me. And Lydia's children are delightful :)

Forgot to mention earlier that after my post last week, played bowls Saturday & absolutely murdered it! Was on fire, & won 21-5!

Got that monkey off my back!

I don't think I could be with out an electric toothbrush.

We had a solardom combination microwave/halogen oven that was the dogs dooodahs but sadly it has broken and they don't make them anymore.

If anyone had a recommendation for a good tin opener I would be interested.

Finally a big thank you to a very nice NP who added something to the DKs half term, I would thank by PM but a friend to royalty, Missie PN, has filled it with unsuitable propositions again :(
    I think....

Should probably say, after all the false starts, old girl did go this morning. It was incredibly quick, quickest I have seen, and she was happily munching an apple as she went.

All very good IMO. Very content with how it played out. More convinced than ever... Send me to Switzerland at the end, feed me prunes drowned in alcohol and finish me off while I am still happy. :)

I agree. If there was ever a good way to go, that sounds very much like it to me.

Can I please ask a question of the NPs? Do you have a favourite gadget (I'm talking about a tool here rather than a techie type thing)? I was thinking about my jar opener that I wouldn't do without, but would never have thought of buying until I came across by accident.

Steamer. We use it almost every day for veggies of one sort or another. Very handy.
A nude man dancing around on the bed with a tennis racket swatting at the ceiling is fairly noticeable and potentially upsetting :o

    How about "amusing"?
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Oh absolutely, unless one is the sort to take offence. It's amusing certainly.

I'm not sure I have any kitchen gadgets with me. I have quite a few back in Shakespeareshire though. So best kitchen gadget probably has to be a corkscrew/ bottle opener :)

Best overall gadget is probably my smartphone. Only had it just over a year, but I don't think I could go back to a non-smartphone now. It is so handy for journeys (if bored on a train, or as a satnav/ map), and I've been able to take advantage of quite a lot of offers because of it.

I assume pretty much everyone is/was waaaaaaay south of myself.

I think Nikkster is/was quite close to where I am (but has moved & I've no idea where to?). I think doozer (anyone seen/heard from her, not seen her in a while) & JohnnyBravo were also pretty close to me, but they appear to have been lost in the mists of time (much like wheezy?)

In answer to the question, close enough is accessible for a day trip without excessive £ cost or time cost.

    That's a bit too vague isn't it...:o

Likewise, I assume pretty much everyone is waaaaaay east of me.

How does somewhere in the vicinity of Oxford strike you, jelly? Is that accessible from where you are, and from Herts, and maybe for a few of the Londoners if they're feeling keen? Or is that further south than you'd want to venture?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
