So nice to see you again NDG! So sorry to hear about your mum though, keeping my fingers crossed the news stays positive.
Lydia - Yes, I see what you mean. I really did think it would be impossible to find someone else but it happened, so taking your comments on board, I will put that positivity into my job search...never know, the new positivity may lead to something! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Lovely to "see" you all again!
OMG
NDG good to see you back. I had suggested you were in a yurt in Outer Mongolia (again). I am glad to hear your 'excitements' are currently successfully resolved, very good news indeed.:TI think....0 -
Thanks all. She's definitely on the mend - her hair's growing back, and she's getting stronger.
After the shingles, my Dad whisked her away to the Carribean for 10 days, and they returned home yesterday. They had a lovely time in balmy sunshine, swimming in the sea, etc. Sunshine's apparently very good for shingles....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

A very dear friend had dinner with us last night. She has been having health problems for the last 5 years, ever since a car crash totally shook up all her joints, and she just hasn't healed up properly. It turns out that she has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and she was very impressed that I had heard of it and had some idea what is is.
NDG, so pleased to see you here again. And, I'll second all the good wishes for your mother.
Oh, and I think that sunshine is very good for most things, except perhaps sunburn! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Our car was returned yesterday but was on the space-saver spare but today we went and got 2 new tyres so it is now all good. It had better be on its best behaviour for the next 2 years...I think....0

Lovely to "see" you too. Sorry to hear about your mum. Thoughts and prayers for her to stay well from now on.
Has your trial finished now? Did you win?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
