Apologies!
We have none of those travel things, .....I keep saying to dh he should get the airport lounge things because silvercar recommends them! We did have a whole heap of Eurostar 'miles' or whatever, but they expired or whatever it is they do. He didn't even use them for a work ticket.:(
We had their Regular or Frequent Traveller (Is that what they call it? I can't remember) card. We used to get a free journey every now & then.
Are you thinking of the Monopole? That's near Centrale.0 -

Quite possibly.
Dh euro stars a bit for work. Not hugely often now, but enough to make the benefits accrue a little. No idea what its called. I used it for only one return journey to Brussels when dh was sent over there.. I thought it was lovely way to travel.

:rotfl: If you'd stayed in the Paris hotel we booked via Eurostar before coming back one time you definitely wouldn't say that. It was hysterical. We were up in a tiny garret where we had to shuffle round the bed to let the other one into the bathroom.
Paris wasn't top of my list of favourite cities before that but, since then, we try to bypass it as far as staying overnight, anyway.
People believe Monaco is expensive but Paris is major con territory.0 -

If you work it right, & bearing in mind how long it takes us to get to London, you go Premier or 1st on Eurostar & get the meal. That means you can go straight over to Bercy, get the Treno Notte & not have to suffer the evening meal on there. So, while travelling you also cover your evening meal, your bed for the night & breakfast (well pastry & cappuccino) the following day. It can work out cheaper than stopping over in France.
Alternatively, go to Lille, stay there & then TGV down to the Med. the following day. Both ways are usually better value than a straight Paris stopover.0 -
I don't do breakfast either. Don't get up early enough!
For me, breakfast has to be a cooked breakfast.
I only tend to eat breakfast when it is summer, and/or I am on holiday, & can relax & take time over it.
If I cook it, it is more of a brunch, as I go out to buy the stuff. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I'm with NDG on the tea too. I have several mahoosive mugs. One of them filled with tea does me.
Never drank coffee. Never intend to. Smells vile (imo)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I can't drink tea, it is a major migraine trigger for me.
I don't particularly like coffee, but I drink it because water is v. Boring.
It would be good to find a hot drink I actually like that doesn't have a bazzilion calories. (Herbal teas generally taste like dog's bath water)“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
