You mean you're allowed back? Blimey.... never knew that.
The trouble is, they don't tell you!
At hot food buffets/carveries you're only allowed "one shot at a plate stack" (I've become an expert at this).....0 -

Even if they are not, try stopping dh. Its this weird sort of man greed that happens at breakfast..,he has to try everything.0 -
The main reason I choose the "no meat" option at carveries isn't because it's £1-1.50 cheaper, or because the meat's always fatty .... it's because I stack the plate SO high with all the yorkshires and veggies that by the time I get to the bottom (where the meat lurks) I'm struggling. Seemed easier to go down the "no meat" route0

Given recent discussions, would NP's like to read a lovely story?

I defy you not to have a lump in your throat at the end...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

The secret of being a clever buffet eater is to save the meat to the end as it makes you feel full more quickly than lower-protein foods. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Done ..... I think. Unless someone spots something I've missed.0 -

But the secret of being a sensible eater is to start with the meat and veg for the same reason I guess!
And mse eater, I am not sure. The meat value in cost v its nutritional benefit over a Yorkshire pudding?
I was meant to be going to my favourite localism restaurant for lunch w/ mother and her best friend. Thankfully the friend has cried off:D. So I can loaf instead.0 -

My most longed for hotel breakfast treat is the perfect glass of juice. I prefer the cold meats and cheeses as its something I don't think I ever do at home. I also love fruit salads I haven't made.
We have the cold meats & cheeses. Well, not the meats now as I decided mortadella or similar every day probably wasn't a great idea. We still have the cheese with bread, then & a bowl of fresh fruit followed by a yoghurt. All with a cappuccino before & an espresso at the end....... but then we only eat one other main meal & a snack.0 -

Oh wow, lovely. Tbh, I am not even a fan of cold meats, (exceptions include a proper ham, prosciutti, rare cold roast beef. Occasionally some smoked meat) I think its just the novelty:rotfl:0 -

We don't eat much meat at all now. Not that we're vegetarian. We just tend to prefer other sorts of meals.0
