lostinrates, just get the wretched badge.
If your vision goes in both eyes or something, you might need the person driving you to wherever it is to come in with you straight away instead of driving some distance to park.
On the days you are not bad enough to need it, you don't have to use it if you feel it would be fairer not to. You can still choose to park further away even if you own the badge. It opens up options and has no disadvantages.
On another topic... After several attempts I got that site that Pastures mentioned to load. It thinks I'm 30 as well.
Hehe, I must be really grumpy and difficult today to make Lydia snap. Sorry sweetheart
:)
Maybe the thing makes everyone thirty, if it does then I will find a way to do it...:D0 -
I'm 33...and I can't even claim I had a dodgy mouseI think....0

Sorry. I'm not snapping because you're grumpy. I just care about you and want you to be able to go shopping without exhausting yourself. If anybody else was trying to stop you getting a blue badge, I'd be angry. Since you're the one standing in the way of your badge, I'm not angry, but I care, and I don't want you to keep pushing yourself harder than is good for you just because you haven't applied for a badge that you deserve and to which you're entitled.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

You have nothing for which to apologise.. I know what you are saying and why.
When I am tired but not kaput I get ornery, and brought that here to nice people trying to help me, I was aware I was not acting with grace yet kept grumbling.. I know when I am wrong and this is one of those times. You are totally in the right.

How to manipulate the markets:
1. Hack into a newspaper twitter account
2.???
3. Profit“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Well, that post is "acting with grace" in spades.
PS I have always assumed that "in spades" meaning "to a great degree" was a bridge metaphor - spades being the highest scoring suit. But I am not sure if other people perceive it that way or as meaning something different. Opinions?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Ooh - that is a lot more clever that what I thoughtI always thought of it as 'spadefuls', similar to 'bucketloads'.

Don't think about it as a loan or a debt. It works as a graduate tax!
Nah, mine is a loan. I pay, the balance comes down and eventually it gets cleared. I think it bothered me less when I wasn't 'earning' enough to pay it back (as I was living off bursaries rather than pay). I don't like the thought of still paying it back in 10 years time. I know the money is better off doing other things (e.g. house deposit) so I will be resisting the urge to pay it all/ a lump sum off0 -

I hope it's the other one now
Me too
If it ever comes up in conversation, I am definitely going to suggest lydia's version. And probably take credit for being so knowledgeable0
