Oh, I forgot! You may qualify because of your eyesight.

Whichever route you choose, just big it up to the level you feel on your very worst day.

If I qualify on eyesight I have to return my licence.

I never, ever, every drive when my sight is compromised. It is only going late at night and I passed all the eyesight tests given but to drive if one's sight were compromised would be selfish in the extreme.

One of the issues with eyesight which I haven't gone into is that the way it's showing is atypical. Most people with this sort of thing lose peripheral vision first. As you guys know that is not what I have experienced! In fact, my peripheral tests last year were better than average.

The eye people did suggest that this might be some sort of ocular migraine either caused by the swelling or just coincidence getting this ocular migraine at same time or just atypical presentation. But it's so opposite to norm I get the Impression no one really thought the latter

Have there been any days when you haven't made it to the barn? Been laid up in bed?

Anyway, get the form from your local authority and take a look at the questions they ask.

Yes, buit because I could, like dh was here or a client could cover. I have occasionally had to crawl :o. Usually though its just that I use a stick. (Or a broom or garden Spade because i cannot remember where a stock is :rotfl:). The more I move when it's like that the easier it gets. But that's the sort of time when a blue badge is pretty unnecessary......you can't go anywhere even if you can park. On Saturday evening for example, I needed help to walk. I tried the spade but it was too heavy, so used dh's arm. Then he did the animals. If he were not have been here it still would have got done though. It's not an option to not do it, just like its not an option to do anything that is optional. :)

I will look at the form but it sounds unlikely from what you have said. Thanks, its helpful.

I don't know what your medical problem is, but is it possible your problem is masking another one?

That said, I have migraine headaches where I lose a lot of visual ability for reasonably short periods.

That so wasn't worth the multiple refreshes... It told me I'm 30. I am, for another couple of weeks anyway! That was on a crappy laptop with a dodgy trackpad. What else...? Oh, the internet connection is a bit dodgy :)

Edit: I was hoping for 21 or mid twenties at the very worst. Sob!

My 11-year-old mac running Roccat browser (the fastest one I know) eventually got it to work. I didn't size it right and I seemed to lose the connection a couple of times so it reckons I'm 45!;)

The eye thing is a new and exciting development Tom term.

The relationship is its all nuerological swelling. It may or may not be connected.

    How to manipulate the markets:

    1. Hack into a newspaper twitter account
    2.???
    3. Profit

I would be pretty surprised if the purpose of that tweet was market abuse, especially as the yanks aren't allowed to spreadbet. It would be far more efficient to target a particular stock with a malicious rumour by hijacking a reputable source to issue the tweet that would actually cause a significant price movement. More likely that it was just a prank.

So are we to conclude pn's computer deserves a posh alert for being more functional than the rest of ours?

I think PN gets off on the 'work tool' clause.

Edit: I'm surprised any neurological swelling large enough to affect your eyes wouldn't show up on an MRI or CT.

It shows on eye exam. (The optic nerve swelling). One is brain the other is the nerves for my eyes in my head. I also get tgn which is a facial nerve pain (or two, as I get it bilaterally ) in my head. And had Bell's palsy a couple f times. Other nerve pains are out side my head.....so not talking about them.

I also had an MRI last summer. ( between the two eye clinic sessions) I had a bit of an emotional breakdown last summer as I was convinced I was breaking for good this time. Some of the nice people came to my house with plates of food and we spent one of the few sunny days of the year talking like we do here but in my garden. :). The MRI resulted in me turning in to the nonono cat (have you seen that cat on you tube?) and feeling while obviously not at all pained by it, powerless and vulnerable and going down a path I felt unwilling to rewalk.

Then I refused futher investigation or treatment bar pills and I am not broken yet but rather doing better. :)
edit: I am now in a better headspace. I am still certain I have limits to how much I am willing to do for this partial health and I am not rushing to rip up my DNR. I feel more certain I have limits tbh. But if I am to live within them then I have to accept that up to those limits I have top engage more with health care, deal with the dealable to make the list shorter. I am starting that now.

I have been very lucky. I have considered myself as sort of 'proven indestructible' and been quite proud of it, but actually last summer I started to be scared of that, which was a huge part of the problem. There is a limit to how much I care to suffer before the limit is found. I fought very hard to regain things before and I know for certain I do not want to do that again. Thus, I need to make the decisions to stay well as best I can. :)
