Well, so far so good, snowing but slushy. Due to get colder around lunchtime though. If anyone is travelling, M54 in Shropshire and M61 in Lancashire are currently closed.
Update: so is M42 in Warwickshire. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Winter tyres are a good idea.
They say a FWD car with winter tyres will perform better than a 4WD car with summer tyres.
The worst in the snow are BMW with their RWD. OH won't have another one for that reason.

Although, given where we live and what we do for a living, it's absolutely necessary if you want to be sure of getting home.
They make such a huge difference.
You guys get way more snow than us so a 4WD probably not worth it here, given that we live in a town. The thing that frustrates me most though is people who do no prep and don't know how to drive on the few days that we do get snow. Wheel spinning in first gear is a prime example.
The hill that I live at the top of was closed and blocked in the snow a couple of years ago because a car tried to get up it and did such a bad job that they burned out their automatic transmission and left it stranded across a very narrow road. That was one of those big BMW Chelsea tractors, so I would imagine it was even 4WD.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Our lovely friend died this afternoon.
We said goodbye to her last night and I am glad for her that she is not in pain.
We were very lucky to have had her in our lives.
We share grief together for the parting of our dear friends we will miss Tasha so much but will always remember the happy times that we all had together as you will also. God Bless.0 -

Snow in south London. Did someone say march?
I remember it snowing all the time when I was a kid and going out and playing with a sledge when I was younger. It never got on the news though or am I remembering it wrong. The roads got gritted and everybody got on with what they had to do.
I rmember one of my workmates went for a weekend in Aviemore and couldn't get back for days when the town got snowed in back in 82.
That same year I went for a job interview in London during a heatwave and it was sweltering and uncomfortable. I was in a room with giant windows with the sun streaming through and I felt like an ant under a magnifying glass.
I'm guessing I'm more suited to cold weather TBH. And the drizzly rain you get when it isn't summer, that doesn't bother me at all.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Spirit we are sorry to hear your news.
Bertie the same.
The weather seems to be joining in the miserable mood too - we have 'snow drizzle' (snizzle?) here all day, cold, horrible and slushy.
Looked at a house earlier to buy, extend and sell, agent said there was so much interest they had pulled it from rightmove to avoid having to do too many viewings.I think....0 -
