    Boys back at school tomorrow!

I'm quite happy that mine went back last week.

I love them to bits, but can't afford to continually be off work, and don't want H&S telling me they shouldn't be in the office!

In some ways it is better when they are off...and in some ways, it is not!

Youngest has been pretty chilled over the holidays but started to get eeky at the end of last week...he is now very eeky about going back and it is going to be a battle in the morning.

However, middle son has been bored and can't wait to go back and do more music...and a bored middle son is not the best.

Eldest is so far laid back he cares not a jot whether he is at school, at work or at home...but when on school holidays, eats me out of house and home!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

No idea what this week holds yet. I am trying to do some online shopping for something elusive on the net ATM, and I have to find and book a hotel room somewhere...but likely to do that nearer the end of the week. In any dry weather I should start sweeping the yard, we don't need the winter grit down any more :). It's such a huge job it takes me days and days.

We have another course being run on the the yard at the end of the month, just a one day one, so I really do need to think about tarting it up.

Well, Einaudi at Symphony Hall last night. What can I say?
    Absolutely superb!
Part one highlighted the new album (In A Time Lapse), with Einaudi on piano, & a selection of additional musicians (percussion, viola, violin, cello, guitar, electronics). Part 2 combined new stuff & old stuff. Gorgeous!

New album is clearly more experimental (though as I learn more about him, there's clear experimentation with each album). Really loved it. Came away feeling a need to purchase 3-4 more cd's.

So, given that I said the following:

    Unmixed compilations

    Where does Einaudi fit in?

    Well I just learned something.

If you like fascinating (to me) facts, CB Fry is well worth looking up. England cricket captain, FA Cup winner, holder of the long jump world record and turner down of the Albanian throne amongst other things.

As well as being a relative of Stephen Fry!

I have mine cut about twice a year, too. Whether it needs it or not!

I can't remember when mine was last cut, probably about 2 years ago, possibly more!

I really really need to get it done soon though but everytime I think about making an appointment, it then either goes clean out of my head or all hell breaks out and I can't find the time to get it done.

I'm now at the stage where I cut my hair when I'm combing it & that doesn't appear to make it any tidier..._pale_

Having it short enough to not have to bother brushing/combing is great!:)

I was busy this weekend. Planted lettuce (first batch, diaried dates to plant 2nd and 3rd batches). Planted over 20 tomato seeds (more in a couple of weeks). Planted a fair number of carrots, beetroot. Got about 12 cucumber seeds in I think. Set up my ginger in a decent sized pot - will be keeping my fingers crossed for that one, as it is an experiment!

Greenhouse covers still haven't arrived, so I've commandeered most windowsills in the house & am incurring a lot of wrath!

Next weekend I'll be planting flowers for hanging baskets (& encouraging bees) & setting out my little polytunnel in the garden.

I also fixed the slug traps that someone had trodden on. Was nice to be outside. Next weekend is possibly going to be 17/18 degrees, & I'll be getting those greenhouses up!

Only thing I didn't get planted (which I will do next weekend) is the onions.

Yeah, have to sweep first though.

Hopefully this year we will have dry days and get some painting done too.

No mortgage but I don't like to decide based on current tax rules as they can always change.

The decider is that it will run mainly as business for about 10 years and there is a lot of renovation to do.....so doing that as being VAT reg'd would be advantageous (assuming you can reclaim VAT on the renovation). I only know about VAT etc in my current set up.

If buying is going to wipe out your liquid assets and you're going to be running it as a business, I'd be inclined to get a mortgage for some of the purchase price. It allows you more diversification, it's tax efficient which mitigates the cost of the interest and anyway, banks are lending at little more than RPI which means that it's effectively free to borrow the money anyway.

Not all debt is bad. As a businesswoman you know that.
