My daughter came home with Greek-style yoghurt, so I asked her whether that meant that Angela Merkel had paid for it.
DW then said that I shouldn't give up the day job, and I was more deflated than the Greek economy. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Pastures are you actively looking for a property at the moment?
I ask because I saw a nice looking retirement property in your sort of direction. You are a bit too young at present though as it is for over 55's. I will pm a link.
There are, actually, hundreds and hundreds of similar places to that round here.... and some much better places (small houses/bungalows even).
And yes ... I am far too young to even be looking at them....0 -
Just had a phone call.... little old lady asking about the Spring Show dates.... I said "wrong number" and she said it was in the paper... and that she'd phone it again... and she did. During this gap I looked up my number and asked her what was in the paper..... my number.
Oh dear.... could get some annoying calls in the next few days/weeks/months (depending when this Spring thing is).0 -

Its out a landline... If so can you unplug it? Might be worth getting in touch with the paper too if you think the advert might reappear next week.0 -

No idea which paper - didn't ask that.0 -
Phew! I didn't like to mention the lack of switching, or the lack of devotion to clubcards, though I have a tescos linked to avios.
Decorating the bedroom at the moment and my bed is in the middle of the floor to let the sparky put in some new sockets. Decorating most of the house, pretty much on a shoestring as the intention is to sell it next year ( doubt it will be done this year).
Over Xmas I used fabric on two walls in the boxroom that I use as an office - now that was MSE! Entire roll from R A Smarts factory in their annual sale for £8.00. Outline of the London skyline on a cream background, looks far more expensive than it actually was.
I know I should do the cards but I don't like some giant mega corp tracking my spending habits and sending me junk post/email. I think I make the same 'savings' by avoiding shopping in them whenever possible. I start to fizz if I walk into a Tesco.
The fabric idea sounds lovely. We all learn from michaels.
I think it is not possible to have every avenue on every expenditure fully MSE'd.
I have a super efficient friend who has her whole ""eating out" life mapped to a fine T. Even to the extent on when to spend your costa points and when to wait to reap double point offers. Her phone is full of codes and apps that give free meal deals - then she tells me her utilities are with British Gas and the local electric company because she has never looked at that area
I admire those who can so it 'all' but I just don't have the physical time or mental space to fit it all in. That ISA Fidelity offer sounded a good one and I did think I should do that...and then forgot.lemonjelly wrote: »I'm quoting this for one very specific reason, that I don't think anyone else will know.....:):):):):):):):):):)
Not meaning to be cryptic, but this is a public forum after all.
So, er,what is the bed like?
I am puzzled ?? LIR and Niks know...know what?0 -
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Ah. Thought you might user a mobile for things like that and just have landline for internet. Hope op was successful.0 -

At lunch, conversation got onto Brian Cox. Someone described his rise to fame as astronomicThey then said they weren't meaning to come up with a pun, but the polity other word they could think of on the spot had been meteoric
