Hi lir, my mum has the Kindle Fire HD. It has a very good battery life, even used as 3G. I want to say about 11 hours but not 100% sure as not mine. As she doesn't have another device though she had to buy a charger. Her Kindle only came with a USB charger which AIUI is pretty standard.

    Ok. That's useful answer.

    No better than macputer.
Also opted points about good eyes. :o.

One of my best friends finds it hilarious that instead of turning to drink or drugs I turned to trashy reading when special girl died. There is no doubt reading too much trash on the screen fizzes my left eye. Plus. Have of very bad about the no reading lying down rule they gave last year.

About weekly, for me. They charge quite fast, though. I charge both my mobile and kindle on Sunday nights, whether they need it or not!

I charge my phone every night! Either I use my phone more than you or my phone has a carp battery life - or both!

My phone is charged every night.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Shame about the 5000 per card limit though as I have £1000 worth of points on my card.

Do you hold them for a special offer? I'd have thought you'd be better off with them on your offset mortgage.

Change, interruptions and invasion are unsettling for me.

You have all my sympathy, PN. Even though I arrived at the point of accepting that that was how things were, I hated them when I was renting, and I understand that what was an annoyance to me is a bigger deal and a worse upset to you. :(

Oh and he was ginger, something which shocked him when he looked at his first born photo as his hair was almost black at the time.....he now has an almost ginger beard (people ask him if he has dyed his beard as it most def does not go with the hair on his head!)

My dad had black hair and a ginger-ish beard, I think. It all went grey a very long time ago, so I can't be entirely sure.
Well, something is working right, my little sitting room is 21 degrees today!! I have a very pink face from sitting too close to the woodburner in the warm room and I am not freezing.

(Interestingly I would normally be too warm at 21 degrees but I am not today).

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Was your dad a celt, dare I ask?

I know lots of celts with diverse facial hair colours.

I'm one and I can't grow a full beard and moustache without looking bizarre; my moustache is very much blonder and my beard much blacker than my scalp hair. Of course it's all going grey now so it'll all converge soon.

I use my phone a lot - we don't have a landline and I use it for work as well as social calls.

But my phone doesn't play games, sing songs, check email or launch spaceships, which gives it great battery life.

My work blackberry battery lasts about a week although I only use it for emails really. My personal phone battery lasts about 4 seconds...

I've got an iPhone 5 that's used for both work and personal, and also has 4 Skype numbers pumping into it via Wifi. It's just come off charge, spent 40 minutes re-charging in the armrest of my car, and is currently on 98% (According to one of the security systems, the alarm was deactivated at 3.42).

It'll be down to about 40% by 6pm when I leave the office, and probably about 15% by the time I get home tonight (10-11pm)

My 4S used to be charged once throughout the day, and my Blackberry was the same. I was, however, averaging about 2 days out of the original iPhone, the ones that were only sold on o2!
