Actually it doesn't seem to have rained for quite a while (snow, yes).'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. depends on how much you read. if i read a lot on holiday a week. at home, reading a few pages a night a month +. 3G is always turned off unless I need a book to be zapped over.0 -

I was given a kobo glo for christmas and I love it.
The batteries last for weeks (I read it on average about 6 hours a week)
Reading up on things after receiving it, the books you download on kindle remain property of amazon and they can deny you access to them at any time.
For a tin-foil hatter like me, that is a definite no-no and another plus point for the kobo.0 -

Dh is dealing with them, but is being very careful ATM to let them lead the pace so that he has some 'stuff to work with'. They have not responded to his response to that issue today.
The Arbitration Act contains some rules about how arbitrations have to be conducted. I was thinking that, if you weren't happy, your DH would be waving the Act about. That's assuming it applies, of course, which is why I was asking. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I have the 3G Kindle, which I use for reading books and surfing the WWW (at Amazon's expense). The book-reading uses almost no battery, but the 3G drains it in around 10 hours of surfing.
It's very easy to charge as any USB charger will work.
You need quite good eyesight to use one, as the screen contrast is not as good as paper books. Mine is a couple of years old now, but the screen colour is definitely dark grey on light grey, rather than black on white. The newer ones are better, but I looked at one in the store, and it wasn't perfect. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

About weekly, for me. They charge quite fast, though. I charge both my mobile and kindle on Sunday nights, whether they need it or not!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

If you return to Hastings, I'd recommend the caves. Doesn't matter if you're 6 or 60, there is something to enjoy, fascinate & intrigue you there. There's history as well as adventure. Highly recommended!:)
We will return - it isn't that far from my parents' house, about a 45 minute drive (and a very pleasant drive, too)....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Hi lir, my mum has the Kindle Fire HD. It has a very good battery life, even used as 3G. I want to say about 11 hours but not 100% sure as not mine. As she doesn't have another device though she had to buy a charger. Her Kindle only came with a USB charger which AIUI is pretty standard. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
