My mother postponed tests with her hound so it is an option sometimes.. definitely worth asking.

Ooooh! Maybe it just depends on how helpful your vet is then?

Her deefer had tests for an eye condition known to affect the breed but also liver function due to illness and epilepsy but it was delayed by 2 or 3 weeks while the insurance came into force. (He does have epilepsy but the liver and eyes are fine)

She has used the same vet for many years though.

Kitchen larder unit is now filled with baking stuff.. I also binned another half binbag of ancient food.. some with dates back in 2007!!

I cleaned out the baking cupboard and stashed the new storage boxes and the cereal in there.. I then cleared and cleaned the table and chairs and got all carried away and swept the floor..

I am in too much pain now to go up the stairs to the loo but the kitchen is starting to look habitable again! :D

  • Sounds very organised, Piggers!

I have a wobbly cat. He falls over and off things when sitting or laying down on them. Scratching and cleaning himself has to be done on the floor, for example. He can't jump more than four feet and climbing is impossible. His intelligence isn't, shall we say, his greatest asset, either.

He's eighteen months old, perfectly happy and, for all his uselessness as a cat, he's very sweet.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I haven't forgotten I am sorting the numerous boxes of 'ebay' stuff I haven't bothered listing.. it may as well be at charity shop as cluttering up this place.. The problem is I will get rid of this lot then sort through the childrens drawers and be right back where I am now! I may sort it all straight into binbags and get someone to drop it off immediately, it is the only way I can see yo get through it.

Jojo.. I have a thick cat too... she falls off everything, attacks chairs and wash baskets and forgets how to use the cat flap and best of all gets her paws stuck in it.. she is totally stupid.. very sweet but really stupid.

We decluttered some collars and leads today to Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli, we were there to meet a springer called Ty. Unfortunately we weren't the right humans for him, so the search goes on.

I also managed to declutter some Kilner jars the other day, one held years old vanilla sugar which was rock solid, the other was empty, but had been intended for preserved lemons. I don't think I've ever used either to cook with :) .

Ahhh MrsAtobe I dearly love kilner jars. Well done for getting rid it must have been hard they are so useful :)
I too missed the free listings this weekend as I had to work both evenings and I don't like ending stuff during the day.
I will be clearing out most of my eBay stash and photigraphing the rest so that I can have it ready to list from my phone next time :)
    Stelios again tonight! Can't wait!

I hope you find a dog you can home soon MrsAtobe. I sponsor Jakey the Springer at Ilfracombe Dogs' Trust, in my grand-daughter's name, so she gets all the updates, Wag magazine etc. I did sponsor Barney the Springer at Darlington for myself, sadly he died of heart trouble so they 'gave' me Copper the Staffy cross as a replacement sponsor dog, not a dog I would have chosen to sponsor, but it didn't seem right to reject him.
Not too much going on with decluttering at the moment, but it will soon be time for the twice yearly Wardrobe Review, friend who is very hard up atm will get the clothes/shoes this time for herself/carbooting.

Thanks for the Stelios Reminder, Suzitiger. I was just typing 'no programme clashes' but wouldn't you know, there's a programme on Dave Allen on BBC 2.
Channel 4 + 1 to the rescue yet again.
How I wish the BBC channels would do this too. I know there's iPlayer but until I get an Internet TV it's a bit unsatisfactory.

The highlight of my decluttering today has been the old broken toilet seat. This is now at the recycling centre with the other stuff, and the toilet is poshed up.

My friend is getting rid if a load of magazines and I gave her some suggestions that didn't involve me having them for a browse first. I would have enjoyed them but I am enjoying the space more at the moment.
