Siegemode, if you have a Nectar card and you donate to Oxfam you collect 2 points for every pound they make selling your donations.:0

Thanks for that vulpix, but I think it will go to a local charity or help the aged who always seem to have less in than the BHF and CR etc.0

Stopped for another break and a cuppa with OH who is on the 5th hour of the 6 hours of Monty Python documentaries. It's helping that he is occupied and I am steaming ahead apart from when distracted by trinkets and stuff and memories, but all good. I can now see the bed, but fear I shall cover it before I'm done. It might be a long night !
Popping on here from time to time is helping me to stay focussed so please excuse my frequent posts and waffle.0 -

pigpen I think what you are doing with your wedding dress is so special.
Well I'm on another break having now found the bed:j
Going to keep going a bit longer and try and sort and clear the stuff from beside the bed and on the drawers. Have sorted the wardrobe and will attack the cupboards above tomorrow if I can keep up this momentum. all the piled up stuff infront of the wardrobe has been cleared so now I can get to my organised clothes giving me choice once again:j Once I've done our bedroom there's still the rest of the house, but I'm feeling ok so far.
You lot have really inspired me.0 -
Well I have now cleared the bed and sorted and tidied the drawers beside. Our bedroom is about 80% done and I'm going to try and get some sleep. I should be tired however apart from aching a lot my head is buzzing and I'm wide awake.0

Pigpen - I'd not heard of Angel Babies before so googled it. I'm now sitting here with tears rolling down my cheeks. What a wonderful caring thoughful idea. A very dear friend of mine lost her baby grandson to meningitis many years ago & I know the sorrow & anguish it caused (& still does) so your donation is very very special - a big virtual hug to you for your kind thoughfulnessSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

I've just held onto it so long I never knew what to do with it but this seems right, like it has waited all this time for this one thing.. what is most heartbreaking is that this is necessary
You see all those pics of tiny gowns and are so devastated for those tiny souls and their families and the lives that were mapped out which are gone in an instant.. those 2 words 'I'm sorry' echoing around your head forever with the guilt and sadness no one and nothing can repair.. it's just so tragic, so very very sad.
Anyway, I have a chazzer bag through the door for collection on Thursday so I shall go fill it up, that is todays mission.. as well as popping to wool shop to see if she has a specific knitting pattern and to post this knitting pattern. One day my house will be emptied!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Following on from Pigpen's lovely donation it made me realise that when we get rid of our 'clutter' it can make such a difference to someone else's life even when we are not aware where our clutter ends up, it also clears space in our lives - so with that motivational thought I'm tackling the room of doom (small spare bedroom aka dumping ground) immediately we get back off our hols next week - I PROMISE!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
