Well, not quite 11 am and I have decluttered a Dr's appt and a bag of stuff to the chazzer. Wasn't exactly en route but I could stretch the point to get rid of it.
I have to wait in for one tradesman which could be any time 12-5 and found out this morning that I need to have something re-done which wasn't done properly a fortnight ago; found out this morn, rang the company, and they're coming back sometime this afternoon, too.
Better get this place tidied up, then, between the two of them, they'll be in three of my four rooms.:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Recycling finally went this morning. I also emptied my 'sunbathing' bag and got rid of the scraps of paper that were no longer needed.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. anirtak- There are loads of good tips, it's brill, there are some really helpful people on MSE! What a lucky niece to have a talented aunty to draw a mural for her, my daughter would love one but I'm not that way inclined.
Pigpen- Good luck with the road to ASD assessment, been there and I know it can be arduous.
Pregnancy symptoms have been minimal today, in fact I feel almost human! So I have blitzed the house and probably done myself in for tomorrow. A few bin bags of rubbish gone, decluttered 2 old pairs of shoes to the bin. Feeling positive, if not a little tired!Working my butt off to buy the house of my dreams!0 -
i always had this mural in mind of doing a forest path scene, path up teh center with trees bushes etc on both sides, that bit i think i can do, and i was going to have fairys faces and pixies, fairy rings etc, all scattered amongst the trees but i have always picture it with a unicorn rearing up or stand on the path way, but i just cant do horses, no matter how much ive practiced them they just dont come out right. only thing i can think is if i ever get round to actually doing that mural is either get some one else to do the unicorn or see if i can find a giant wall sticker. but when my niece seen the pictures i had of my cartoon characters when i got bored in my old place one night she said she wanted that with all the cartoon characters she likes. so thats what im doing, luckily enough her mum has agreed to the whole room cos shes chosen so many characters its more than likely going to take up most of that space lol, i drew what i knew what to do on paper for practice as ive not done it for years then showed her the ones i was happy with and she chose what she wanted.
have to say getting on with doing that over the wkend i felt more relaxed than i had in ages,0 -
AAAARGH - send help! Got back from our hols in the caravan last week & I'm still ploughing through the washing, the mail, trying to put all the washed clothes away, sorting out the garden that's turned into a jungle & clearing up the cats furballs that she 'honks' up!.
I've been trying to tidy/declutter but I don't seem to be making much headway at the moment. I have managed to get rid of all the junk mail - insured my car & done some filing but there's 'bits' all over the place. I need a plan so I think I'll attack 1 room at a time ......maybe that will workSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
When we go on hols in the UK, we now normally go self-catering apartment or cottage. So I tend to keep the washing up together during the holiday. Apart from anything else, it gives me something to do to stop me being annoyed with DH. It takes forever for him to get ready to go out. So some stuff can be put straight into drawers when we get home.
I also always allow a couple of days 'off' after hols. Still work but don't schedule any particular chores. That way you can't get behind on your to do list.
Our shower head went wrong the other day. DH actually bought a replacement from Tesco, which surprised me because a) it had never occurred to me that they sold them and b) normally I have to google DIY stuff and tell DH what to buy and where, so it was good not to have that responsibility. He started to sort it out but then ha to leave or work. Because we now have space in the bathroom, I could see the parts and instruction, and finish the job. Previously, I wouldn't have attempted to take over something that he'd started because everything would be spread out amongst the clutter.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. morning all,
was it on here i noticed a thread that gave a link to make your own fabric conditioner and powder, i was considering having a go as im running low(last 3rd of a bottle) and as its been a while since i had to buy any (bought a bulk buy on 3bay and it lasted me nearly 2 years) i forgot how much they can cost lol.
but im not exactly sure where id seen the link, i thought i wrote it down but i have checked my many note pads and its not in any of them.
gonna try and get some sleep, been listening to the rain dripping on either a plastic box for the last few hours or a neighbours bin,(the bin is the only thing i could see when i looked out the window but it could just as well be a plastic box or something under downstairs window next door where i couldnt see or overflowing pipe, we have a couple of them unfortunately)0 -
:T Another bag out to the c.s.
I'd removed it from the sitting-room floor to the bedroom floor last week and it had kinda disappeared from memory as well as from sight. Found it today and hustled it off the premises. That's two bags in two days.
Came back with some fruit and veg, but nothing else. £1 spent. Feeling good about my self-control.
Today started rainy although it may just be going over now, so I'm touching in some damaged paintwork on a wall that's accessible now I have the chest-of-drawers out of the bedroom. Will put another coat on it later and head out to the allotment after lunch.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I've got rid of a lot of clutter but now I'm just getting rid of bits.
The open can of Slim-Fast and the powdered milk to go with it. I don't like it, I never stick with the plan and it was just sitting there on the kitchen counter, taking up space.
What do I do with the remaining 3, unopened cans? Expiry date 10/2014. It makes lousy hot chocolate.
I've gone through my banking files - old cheque book stubs from 2004, 2005 and 2006? A paying in book last used in 2006? Terms and conditions from 2009?
Taken apart and shredded.
I feel a bit guilty - I gave away what I thought was a CD in it's case and I've just found the CD in my stereo. I've given away an empty box.....:o
Got a bit keen there..... Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0
