will ask a neighbour if they are getting rid of anything and if i need to can use their quota if need be. ive been here 9 years and its not something thats been offerd before. usually the my council charge £20 for the first 6 items that need to be collected, so if you only got 1 item you still pay £20, then i think its a fiver per item after that, so £30 for 8 items. well it was 9 years ago when i called to get rid of previouse tenants stuff, thought they might have at least given me some sort of discount considering it wasnt my stuff.

im really not sure on these eggs, i think they are russian, or at least rissian artisans, masters of palekh, but i cannot find anything on them been looking for years, came close with one, few hundred pounds on a cinderella one i think it was, but wasnt the same as what i got.
youd think id be able to find something out about them today especialy with the internet, but nope cant find nout.
all i know is that an american lady brought them with her form america and her widower gave them to me not long before he passed. other than that the only info i know is whats written on the apparent certificates and bits of of paper that are in with them.
was speaking to someone today as he said he was into collectibles and showed him a picture but not something hes come across either, and i said maybe i should just put them on flebay with a reserve price of £150 or osmething and see if they actually sell, maybe someone will find them and either send me a message saying are you joking for what your asking, or snap up a good deal, and he said he uses that a lot and he never puts anything on unless he knows a little bit about it first. makes sense but after about 12 years (give or take) and not being able to find any information out at all about them, i just dont know what to do.
all they are doing is sitting in their boxes in a cupbaord, and they are just going to waste, id rather they went to someone who wouldnt be scared of breaking them if they were to have them on show, or at least knows something about them. but like the guy said this morning i dont want to go giving them away either just to find out they were actually worth double or more afterwards.

    and gq,
no point in me trying to give you adivce on the anorak, i have a few coats, and i have enough problems trying to decide if i should keep or get rid. now my husband on the other hand, would probably say just get rid, but then he has done that with a coat in the past as he can throw things quite easily and then regretted it as it was his favourite and we not been able to get another one since, it was a padded jacket from m@t@l@An and the very first thing i bought for him. and hes extremely fussy as hes had about 8 other padded jackets bought for him by various people over the years and none of them match up to that first one.
min i just umm and arr over em, creamy one thats a dress one, only where it when i wear the silver shoes, black dress one for when i wear my black shoes, black every day one and a big thick sposed to be water proof one for the winter that i rarely wear as i usually feel like im drowing in it, but usually think i shoukd have worn it when im out and cold. thats off the top of my head, cant remmeber if i got any more, altho i did manage to finally throw the red fleecy one hubby got me when he worked in s0merf13ld, it had a santa head on the back. maybe i should look and see if theres others i have forgotten about, that i will look at and go yeah will keep that one lol.

Our council do free collections of up to 8 bulky items up to 4 times a year per household. Some things they charge to collect but on the whole hey are pretty good when it comes to waste management.

Apparently in Loughborough all waste goes in one bin and the council employ people to sort recycling. We just get fined for putting stuff in wrong bins or not recycling.

:D By golly, but I'm cream-crackered, but I know why and I'm pleased with my efforts. I have spent 4 hours this afternoon turfing out the allotment shed. Had everything out (inc some reeely big s
s ) and swept and tidied. Created a black sack of utter rubbish, as opposed to things which look like rubbish to others but are actually used in the process of allotment gardening. Which is a very broad church, lol.

I have also started to corral the burnables, those rotted out bits of wood and misc cardboard and twigs which will form the kernel of my autumn bonfire. You're only allowed to burn stuff on the lotties from 1st October to 31st March, which means that when stuff is at its driest, you can't burn it. I split the difference by drying stuff out and burning it on one of the very first days of October. I thoroughly enjoy my annual bonfire and it really reduces the carp, returns some nutrients into the soil (spuds have been loving last autumn's bonfire patch) and gets me in touch with my inner hooligan.

I took the binbag to the tip on the way home, came in to shower and chucked the clothes thru the washer, so feeling relaxed and clean.

Oh, and I am eating Label Jaune this evening, with cumberland sausages, steamed celery, potatoes and a water melon to follow. Nomnomnom.......

:) I've eaten it, apart from 4 of the 8 sausages which I shall have tomorrow. The watermelon is still to come, if you'd like to join me in a virtual nosh-up.

    Hi all,

I've managed to declutter some garden art, a huge broken fridge freezer, that has been in the garden for the past 5 months. That went to the tip.

Behind it is a door! This will also go to the tip.

We have a house bursting including a loft, 3 garages and a shed. There is no room in any garage for a car to fit in so we're on a detox the Triker Household.

Currently got the car stuffed for a carboot tomorrow. This is just from stuff from one garage which we haven't got anywhere near emptying.

I really do not wish to bring back anything from the car boot but will see what shifts.

Mission is ON! I have an un-natural [STRIKE]obsession[/STRIKE] love affair with kitchen equipment, which I'm now viewing with a critical eye. This is mainly because reality check is I hardly use the gadgets I have.

So it's sell, sell, sell time and I'm ebaying, gumtreeing and carbooting with a vengence.:D

A small snapshot of overkill, 3 slowcookers, 2 mixers, 2 pressure cookers, an abundance of pots, pans and associated cookery things.
Two pine tables, one round and one farmhouse rectangle, both of which packed away as no room, a chicken house with no chickens :(.

    The game's afoot.:D

great going everyone. I've been reading and cheering, but have had to concentrate a little on decluttering the debts as they have started spiralling out of control, and it's left me a little shaky on the letting go front, but I'm trying to plod on little and often. it's inspiring to hear your successes :)

DH has ruined the DIY that he was doing and was sulking about it when we got home. He was cross with himself, I think. I am annoyed because when we discussed what he would do when he got home today that job was not the one he was going to do.

I think we are going to have to chill out tonight and start afresh tomorrow with moving some furniture, although he may refuse to do that if he is still cranky!

I will have to be careful that the situation doesn't make me grind to a halt.
