my husband let on he was a bit worried last night, was quite surprised i thought getting the flat sorted was soemthing he wanted as well, but he said that if i carry on the way im going im probably not going to have anything left.
but i finished the bedroom and dining room, apart from the table i want to sell thats in the cupboard that i would like to replace with a bearue to use as my craft work space.
ok if i have come across something, and i cant find a home for it i havnt just been putting it over there for now. or been putting it in a cupboard out the way, apart form the tools that should be in the shed, altho i have on occasion either wanted to throw them at my husband or put them in the bin cos he wont take them back down to the shed and im fed up of finsing them when ive thoguht ive put them away.
looks like i got the sheds to sort out aswell, i asked him if he could take the sack of spuds down out the way and will just keep the bucket full, then can go down and refill once its empty. buying sacks is cheaper than going and buying a bag when we need them. and hes informed me that theres no room, and i cant understand how there isntr oom, but then ive not been down the sheds for quite some time. witch means hes put stuff in there and i now dont have a clue what is there. at one time i could have said exactly what was down there and roughly where it was.
while the weather had been nice been thinking about going down and tidying around the front door again, got a couple of planters that could probably do with some attention and the area could probably do with a brush, but cant seem to force myself out there to do it, only been out for my appointment, lately and did some shopping while i was out, but other than that i cant think when the last time it was i just went out lol0 -
Out went the mangy microwave.
Out went 2 binbags of shpoop from the kitchen
4 piles of clothes/towels etc away
My kitchen is starting to look clean!!!!! I even mopped as I could see floor!!! FLOOR!!! IN MY KITCHEN!!!
I may get it painted if I continue like this.. just off to do a speedy once over of the loo and bathroom and back to the kitchen, I'm sure I can sort some more while doing dinner.

HHHUUUUUUGGGEEEEE box of Happyland banished to OH's mums.. FLING!!!!
general recycling and crap out.
3 metal spatulas put in CS box, I have new nylon ones for my non-stick pans so no use for these.
2 ebay items posted.
Took in an approved food order but all the stuff is away and the boxes recycled.. My kitchen looks pretty fabulous and my middle room is usable and most visible places are clean, the downstairs of my house is looking cluttered rather than hoarded..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've got two books I have finished this week that can go to my mum.
DH bought DD some new felt tips, so the old ones need to be sorted into okay (go in DD's bag for the babysitter) or bin.
Got 1 item into the post. This is important as this is the stuff that sits around on the table for ages.
The recycling cupboard is fuller than usual - stuff is dropping out when we open the doors. Can't wait for the weekend as DH is going to have a good go at the DIY again.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. afternoon everyone,
can someone please remind me, next time i decide to lay carpet in an awkward place, no to do it in this weather lol.
had some carpet left over from bedroom, and there looked to be enough to go in bathroom, but there was also enough to go down in the toilet aswell, (toilet room isnt much bigger than a public toilet stall, and floor area in bathroom was about same width)got to get some carpet glue and spray underneath, well gonna see if it moves any when i run the hoover over in a minute once my back stops feeling like i got some jabbing me.
also this afternoon i had to clean the kitchen up after hubby (again) he does rice and i have no sides left, i do a dinner, well ok a lazy dinner roast potatoes breast of lamb and minted gravy and the kitchen is still tidy as i couldnt do anything until i had sorted what hubby had used earlier. and as usual hubby left for work and didnt help with taking any rubbish bags down so i been sorting out all the rubbish and having to seperate some recycling from the bin in the living room.
i have no idea what it is i have done to my back again. i managed to do all that sorting and it seemed fine. unless ive done to much and its catching up to me.
either that or im now remembering why i used to sit at the dining table rather than on the settee.
think im going to get the hoover run over and then check on my food, will try and get the rubbish bags down the stairs later, hate carrying anything down my stairs as they feel really steep and its worse when my back is hurting cos i feel like im going to fall but cant guarantee hubby will be in after work early enough to take them down before the bin med get here, fingers crossed theypick up everything tomorrow. but at least it was only a couple of jars they left behind this time not the full load of paper.0 -
Hi everyone! Finally starting to get back to normal life now after the wedding! So back on the decluttering wagon I am
Popped some random bits from the kitchen on freecycle and some ringbinder files I don't use and they've now gone so need to start finding some more that can go. Also need to take some clothes not fit to sell to cash for clothes and the selling pile is really getting ridiculous now so I must start selling on my selling apps and fleabay.
Decluttered the garden over last week, the horsetail went mad whilst we were away for the wedding stuff so it's taken me a kind time to get it back under control. Feels much better now as you can actually walk across the garden rather than wade :-D
That's it from here really. Anyone have any ideas about what to do with the wedding cards? I have trouble throwing things like that out and so does OH.Don't turn a slip up into a give up

Well, have decluttered an appointment already this morning, and am pleased as it could have been any time from 8-12 and it was 8 am so I can have a cuppa and then get on with some other things.
Have the makings of a bag of stuff for Hoxfam so will get that off the premises and have a bit more room to move. I don't have cupboards free to stash stuff in, so the donation stuff is literally sitting on the side or in a bag on the floor, so it's always in sight and in mind.
suzi, congratulations on your wedding. I feel your pain as I have the top half of my allotment infested with horsetails and it grows an inch every 24 hours, ghastly stuff, well done on disciplining it. Not sure about the cards, could you make a collage of the loveliest bits of images/ messages and frame it? Or have a special album, so that they can be kept nice and enjoyed, rather than piled somewhere? Hopefully, someone else will have a better idea.
I'm keeping up with the rubbish and recycling out and feel silly-happy that I've just finished a bottle of w.u. liquid, so that can be rinsed and leave. I get a ridiculous amount of satisfaction from dropping the recycables off, must be a sad case, lol.
I'm keeping on top of the book pile, am finishing one then either adding it to the donation bag/ taking it back to the lirary/ returning it to whomever had loaned it to me. Still lots of other stuff to do, long way from perfection here, but not at all bad.
Keep on keeping on, lovely peeps. GQ xxEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I have about 10 binbags to go and a couple of boxes.. OH refuses to put them in the car and take them for some stupid reason. but I'm going to heap it all in the hallway and make demands of my older chimps!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Congratulations on your wedding Suzi
When I got married a few years back, I created a big scrapbook of 'mementoes' including things like cards. I admit I did cull some to just the essentials like from parents, bridesmaids, grandparents, as I don't think its realistic to keep them all. A scrapbook is a nice thing to look back over aswell. Hope that helps?"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -
I also did a scrap book, which has the benefit of tidying them away as well!
Yay Pigpen, that lot out of your house will make you feel loads better!Must use my stash up!0
