ours sells fresh meat and veg now, meat is prepacked but an example is 2 x 500g fresh chicken breats for a fiver
I've seen those and some very lean looking pork loin chops. I'm going to give them a try when freezer space allows.
They've had good value broccoli and cauliflower too but always seems sold out when I get there.0 -

It's not the sort of place you'd go for a weekly food shop unless you wanted to live on ready meals. It's more an Iceland type shop, mainly frozen with a few fresh and grocery items. If it's very close to you then it's worth buying milk and bread there.
I go there every few weeks for storecupboard/freezer things mainly frozen veg, fish, toilet rolls and kitchen roll and anything fresh (like cheese) that's a good offer.
It's certainly worth having a look.
Mine is about a 15 minute walk, so not too bad. Might be worth a look for some odd bits.honeythewitch wrote: »It might be different in each store, but in ours there is a good selection of "plain" frozen meat and vegetables.
Sounds good. I will take a look and see what I come out with - if anything.0 -

Go Ahead bars are the worst things to be eating if you are trying to lose weight! Some of their lines have the same fat and sugar content of a snacksize Mars!
If you want something sweet without gain - Rocky, single finger Twix or 2 finger Kit Kats are much better.0 -
Oxo Squeezy Veg stock tube - 29p!
I know I have loads of veggie stock cubes at home, but when a recipe only wants 100ml of stock, its such a waste using a whole stock cube for that amount.0 -
I bought some of the veg stock.
Also the Bisto gravy tube (120g instant gravy) @ 2 for £1 and the polo mints (crazy price).
