£1 for 450g I think. Which works out cheaper than Aldi at £1.39 for 500g if my maths is right. Esther xSecond purse £101/100

What is the general consensus to the quality of Farmfoods products?
Is it really alot cheaper than say Tesco and is the quality as good?
I must learn to look around more. We have a Farmfoods and i've never used it!0 -

It's not the sort of place you'd go for a weekly food shop unless you wanted to live on ready meals. It's more an Iceland type shop, mainly frozen with a few fresh and grocery items. If it's very close to you then it's worth buying milk and bread there.
I go there every few weeks for storecupboard/freezer things mainly frozen veg, fish, toilet rolls and kitchen roll and anything fresh (like cheese) that's a good offer.
It's certainly worth having a look.0 -

Mine had actual Cup-a-Soup for about 69p or something, and a cheaper brand at 29p. I tried the cheap tomato ones and found them sugary, bland and imo not worth 29p, but tolerable if you add your own seasoning. Squeezy tubes of Oxo veg stock are only 29p.Nipped into my local Farmfoods today for some ice lollies and was totally gutted I didn't have my bank card with me. Not sure if it is store specific but they had boxes of 4 cup a soup, chicken flavour and tomato flavour for 29p,
I got the Linda McCartney Tuscan-topped chicken-style fillets at 2 packs for £1 and I thought they were really nice and excellent value, but there were none left at my local when I went back today (they still had the prices displayed for these and the 2 for £1 Linda McCartney canneloni, so I'm hoping they might restock).
I have a Farmfoods and a supermarket within walking distance and I do most of my food shopping at Farmfoods, which I find is usually cheaper but has a much more limited range, though they have a decent selection of frozen foods.0 -

It might be different in each store, but in ours there is a good selection of "plain" frozen meat and vegetables. What is the general consensus to the quality of Farmfoods products?

Ours too. I buy the 2 for £5 packs of smoked haddock. There are some scrappy pieces in there but at £5 per kg for fish, I'm happy.
Had a leg of lamb last week too, also good value.0 -
