The lovely M has moved in and gorgeous N reported the blocked drain that caused all the kerfuffle. I
*heart*
how much i (feels uncomfortable admitting this) am touched by the things they say.
*big heart*

I need to go to town to take DS3's phone for repair. It's not long since he was given a brand new one. I'm going to have to search for the receipt.
I want to go to Pilates tonight but the depends on the behaviour of DS1 and 2. They are really trying my patience recently.0 -

tooch, phone the doc's today!

Keep working steadily through the forms, Natty - you're doing well
Great results on eB@y last night :j mean that some people who have paid me ££££ more than I expected will be getting their parcels tracked at no extra cost to them, rather than just sent out cheapo 2nd class
Today I must
- deal with a membership request (FROG!)
- pack and post eB@y parcels
- buy milk
- clear my desk
- general tidy up and clean as per Natty's list, but everywhere
- WMx1
- QHI
- plant primroses around tree
- get DH to mow the back lawn again (2nd time this year) and edge it
- diarise dates in April for DH to do his voluntary job and give me a bit of time to myself
- take photos of kitchen and breakfast room if the sun comes out
- make more cake toppers
- print cards and finish boxes (FROG!)
- put more 99p stuff on eB@y: every penny counts!
- remember to give a lift to a friend when we go out this evening
My DS2 has just posted on FB that his chronic illness has flared up again. Since he generally gets a bout of it when he's overtired (it's the same with me and migraines) and they've got a 3-week-old baby who hasn't yet got into the habit of sleeping at night, I suppose it was inevitable - but it makes me feel totally inadequate as a mum. I can't just pop over and help because we're too far away
GWS vibes for him, night-time sleeping vibes for DGS3 and house-selling vibes for us would be much appreciated.
Ah good - the woodpecker is just coming down the tree for breakfast: they have decided they like peanuts as well as suet block. I hadn't seen either of them for a week or so, though I did spot one of our elusive owls as we came home one evening earlier in the week. Robins are nesting in the ivy on the back fence and keep popping over for suet nibbles and mealworms.
Talking of breakfast... See you all later for :coffee:
(((Hugs))) and spoons to those who need them today.0 -

morning all
spent last night reading through some family history stuff and doing some knitting.
huge thanks to Bonnie for what she did yesterday:T, thanks to the talk on here about family history i got my folder out again and started tidying though it. id got the two branches of inlaws mixed up and my side were merging with them. isnt it funny how the same names appear on both sides of the tree (not the same people i hasten to add that would be plain scary)
any how rereading through some stuff id put away as saveable but not relivant, i think ive found another breakthrough. my Dh great uncle was killed in WWI aged just 24, looking through some stuff about his brother (my grandfather in law) who was sent to a school for naughty boys, ive found the brother who died in the wars name listed as on a memorial too the 'old boys' from that school who died in WWI. gonig to be asking the records office to do another search i think. we never knew hed been sent there. so just got to find out when it was. ive got him as still at home on the 1901 census and killed on 22nd october 1914 so a few more blanks need to be filled.
also going to try and find out if the memorial still exists. mil had mentioned she'd like to go to france to pay her respects as theres a memorial there that mentions him but if i can find this one it will be easier at her age.
need to do some flying today - it got neglected yesterday.
i hope all are well
positive vibes, get well wishes and everything else that is needed

Ionafan, I popped into the surgery this morning (I pass it on the way to school, so am passing it about 6 times a day!!! (to school and back 3 times a day!!!) so have had no excuse!!!)
They couldn't fit me in till next Thursday due to nurses on holiday so that meant that we would have to come back on Wednesday and then back down on Thursday, but had a phonecall when I was at school saying they had a cancallation so I popped back in on my way back and now have an appointment at 10:30 this morning
Means I have to walk back up later so that will be four trips up to the village today!!!
Garage phoned yesterday to say that car was ready so I'm hoping that OH can take me to pick it up before my 4th trip!!

Going to see how much of the dailies I can get done before going out again..................
