Ingredients measured out for ds2's baking lesson tomorrow although I'm doubtful that his school will be open. If not he can bake at home.
DS1 just offered to help with dinner for the first time. He has been moaning how long I take to cook and I have explained about my arthritis (hands) usually he just sulks until dinner is ready. He is now on his ps3 for a reward.
Ds2 has helped me sort some lumps of plastic (toys) out and we have a large keep bag and a small fling bag. I will sort this place.
Honey Bear hope dog has a dry night tonight x0 -
It just seemed like yesterday I was on here, and shocked to find it was Wednesday :eek::eek:
Got nearly all my spoon nabbing appointments out of the way, nipped into EX's on Friday to get some stuff down from their loft for Skint Baby Holly before going to give Dad's "secret garden" a tidy round......but going to EX's turned into a time sink hole and it was already time to get back for DD3 appointment before I could sort Dad out- have to wait for snow to clear again now:mad::mad::mad:
DD3 has been warned she must wear her glasses all the time and not take them off at school (because glasses are not cool) and her eyes have deteriorated so badly one eye only has 3% vision unaided and the other is 20% unaided:( - the new prescription will get her bad eye back to 80% and the better eye back to 100%
This also explains why her report card has taken a dive this term as she is blind as a bat without them....DS now has to be checked too even though he is only 3
Not much flying has taken place, had a spoon restocking day yesterday while EX had the 2 little ones for a few hours.
Hoping to get some gloss work done in dining room overnight as I have seen some cheap laminate that will help me get the room back online quickly without breaking my plastic:D:D
In the meantime, I am back on Daisy duty......no chance of catching up with Fred now, so hugs, sticks, spoons or boots to the behind as requiredplease help yourselves....catch you all on new thread later
The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Bonnie, my MIL sometimes does saut!ed tinned spuds they are lush.
Thanks LW and mrs mp, I've managed to find a nearly new one with everything included for what feels like a good price, plus a warranty, with good seller feedback.
So,, have pinned up the spiderman bunting, and his memory board, and my dad has fixed the bath :T hurrah! Still needs a new panel, but the overflow pipe (which was there but the bolt had snapped and it had slipped down) is now connected to the hole in the bath, lol, and the grid and plug are back in place. I even cleaned the bath and floor tiles while the panel was off.
Guess what I'll be doing tonight? Clue: involves lots of bubbles, and maybe even a couple of candles! :T
Anyway, we had tea (leftovers for kiddies as they wanted more gammon - and an omelette for me). And I've made up a sugar free jelly for tomorrow as I'm officially dieting! Can't wait for the wii to arrive!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Right.. bunks down, cot moved, CoD's moved, DD2's bed binned!!! God knows what she has done to it! Rooms all vacuumed OH is now putting the bunks back up in the other room.. He has it balanced on chairs as the room is not quite wide enough to get the bolts in.
I am officially collapsed and may well be for a month lol
DD2 will have to sleep on the bunks until her room is sorted.DD1 coming on Tuesday to watch the gremlins so OH and I can wallpaper.. it shouldn't take too long with 2 of us on it..
WM loaded with the girls clothes after they broke into the bathroom and threw plaster at each other.. it looks like a sandstorm in there and there looked like terracotta warriors!!! They are so pesty!
Food cooking.. and I neefd to refeed the WM's and do some flinging in the kitchen while it cooks.. and listen for almighty crashes when the bunks fall on OH.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
DS's GF came friday.
She should've gone home yesterday but that wasa no go.
She's tried to go home today but had to turn back - told her if she did meet trouble not to go on but to come back. (She lives up in the Peak Park, past Eyam)
She went with a pair of my gloves. She had nothing in the car for emergency situations, apparently :eek:Most of the roads that way are apparently impassable!
If she tries again (tomorrow) she's to take some warm things!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Evening
Backed from paid stuff............
Strike update.
It seems that piece of modern technology called a hoover has managed to get itself out of the cupboard, plug itself in and hoover the whole house, clean itself and put itself back into the cupboard............................ :rotfl:
I have been asked, what would I like to eat tonightso taking full advantage of this..........:D:T
I would like to thank you all for your support, as I thought some of you, would be against a strike............but I have always fed / coombed / watered / talked to the cat......he is not part of the strike.
LW~ they know what to do if I wasn't here, they just won't do it all the time, but I am getting there...........Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

kazwookie - I knew you would look after the cat! You live with adults not young children, and you tried explaining what you wanted first. Strike makes perfect sense at that point.
Valli - I have seen some scary pictures for the Peak (Hurdlow and thereabouts), I wouldn't try and I have a 4WD.
4 x WM, 3 x DW, and several hours of snow clearance so I can get to work tomorrow - I am shattered. Just need to make our bed.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0
