Down 2lbs this week - not sure how but I'm not arguing!"Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

Gained +1lb this week not surprised really. Had a rough week with stress and when I stress I eat but I've had inch loss. I brought some leggings in the sales which I couldn't get them past my thighs when I brought them but I wore them comfortably on Saturday.
Exercise this week I did a 10 mile training walk on Sunday morning but the total I did this week is 6 hours and 18 minutes.
Will be back on to eating healthy tomorrow as I've got a work meeting today and I don't know what the menu will be.
Take Care and Good Luck

Don't be hard on yourself, most of us have days like that. The important thing is to make sure it doesn't happen again tomorrow.

Another 3lb off this week. Think it is coming off quickly as it went on REALLY quickly over Christmas.
Feeling a bit more in control of my eating. Just need to stay off the sugar now as I am sure I am addicted, once I start I can't stop.
Been reading this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fat-Chance-bitter-truth-about-ebook/dp/B00A626UYW/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1389775406&sr=1-1&keywords=Fat+Chance%3A+The+bitter+truth+about+sugar
It is very interesting, if a bit science heavy for my unscientific brain. Goes into great detail about what unhealthy eating actually does to your body on a biological level. It is a bit depressing in that it sort of concludes that there is little we can do about the obesity crisis unless the government begin to legislate about what is put in our food.
Some suggestions from the book are -
- Only eat real food whenever possible, limit processed food to once a week.
- When baking, cut the sugar in the recipe by 1/3.
- Don't drink your sugar. This includes fruit juices and smoothies which he says are worse for our bodies than coke. Also diet drinks have the same effect on the body, so avoid them when possible.
- Eating lots of fibre helps to reduce the effects of sugar on your body, so eat fruit whole, include lots of pulses, beans, whole foods in your diet.
- Create a non toxic food environment at home- ie, don't have processed food in the house. If it is there, he says, our addiction will make us eat it. (Totally agree with this)
-Avoid fat and sugar eaten together - ie, in all of those yummy cakes, biscuits, chocolate. This, he says, causes fatty liver and metabolic syndrome. This is another reason for avoiding processed foods as sugar is added to most things.
Think that about sums it up - basically back to basics, healthy eating.
Good luck with the weight loss this week everyone0 -

Sorry I forgot to weigh in last week, I am very out of the habit of weekly weigh in's. Also with hospital appointments, surgery and work all getting in the way it was not a good week. But I have done my best to be back on the wagon since monday so I am not weighing today is there is no point. I only managed 1hr Skating last week exercise which is not good, as I have been in too much pain to do any exercise this week. I hope to get walking in the next few days.
So I am going to post a STS

Hi all
Apologies for not checking in last week, the evil chest infection that I've had for 5 weeks now decided to rear its ugly head.
Haven't been to the gym, but managed to lose a whopping 7 POUNDS!!!! Now down to 11 stone and 11 pounds, hoping to go to the gym tonight and take out my utter frustration on it!
Hope everyone else has a good week, hugs to those who need them and a kick up the tush for those who need them too!0
