First time I've stepped on the scales since before Christmas so was very happy when it came in at 119.7kg, was expecting to put on half a stone over the roast potato and mince pie period :)
  • Well done everyone :D

Must get some exercise in today. Having a bad day as just had to have two new tyres for £120 :(

    Well done flamingo :D

I'm trying to fit in lots of extra walking this week and have started doing the Leslie Sansone DVDs on youtube - I thought walking would be easy, how wrong I was!! Turns out my natural pace is 'pootle'.....

Well done - the Leslie Sansone stuff will change your body; it certainly did mine when I did it consistently. I took about 10 inches off my waist and had the most amazing quads and glutes, in about 3 months.

Feeling very tired after dancing last night but it is something I've wanted to learn for a long time, and its extra exercise.

Be warned, it is addictive:) I started a year ago and now go twice a week and have also just started to go to some 'social dances'. There is lots of stuff on Youtube, if you want to practice between lessons. Enjoy!

Just noticed this thread. How come i'm just noticing this thread?! Can I join, pretty please? :o

I started going to WW in October. I fell twice in as many weeks and it gave me a scare. I wasn't badly hurt, just badly shaken. I thought to myself that if I really had been hurt i'd have been so embarrassed to go to get treated. I would rather not say my weight at the moment, but I have a lot to lose. Then I thought to myself how lucky i've been healthwise. I don't want to end up with diabetes or heart trouble all because of something that I can prevent. I thought of everyone i've known that have been seriously ill, or died, from diseases such as cancer, and think, what would they have given to have had something that they could do something about. I'm fat but i'm lucky in that I can do something about it. So I made up my mind to go for it. Then about 3 weeks after I started I learnt I was going to be a grandma for the first time in June and that's a great incentive if there ever was one. :D

I won't be at my target weight by then, but i'd like to lose at least 3 stone by the time the baby is here. I don't want my grandchild to ever remember me as the fat grandma.

I have a very supportive family. A husband who never complains about my weight. He only, very occasionally, said to me that he would like if I could lose some weight for my health, and not because of how I look.

I lost 5lb in the 3 weeks over the holidays - took 3 days off in total but didn't go overboard. I had my first bad day since I started yesterday (mince pies that were untouched over Christmas - ditto the Christmas cake, chocolate, etc :o). Things were a bit stressful (OH went away abroad working, aunt very ill, OH's pay was short by a lot), but i've drawn a line under it and i'm back on plan 100%. I'm pretty excited at the thought of the weight i've lost so far, and the weight that i'm going to lose. :)

And i'm hoping for a position as a cheerleader to egg others on who are on the same journey. cheerleader.gif

    Thanks. :A

I've done 20mins walking yesterday and again today and am happy with that and feel like at least I've done something. I'm taking a break from the shred... That's definitely going to take me more than 30 days :o.

Btw hi and welcome jackieb :).
